Carded Heroes continues G.I. Joe: Retaliation week with Roadblock

Another day, another G.I. Joe: Retaliation review over at Carded Heroes!  This time around it’s Roadblock.  Jay looks like he feels the same way about this figure as I do…a very cool figure, tons of potential, yet just lacking with that action gimmick and some articulation deficiencies.

I’ve mirrored a couple of images below as usual, but definitely head to Carded Heroes to get all of the details and see the rest of the images.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation Ninja 3 Packs are in hand in California!

So it looks like the trickle continues!  Hot on the heels of the Meijer sightings for G.I. Joe: Retaliation Wave 1, we now have eBay auctions up for the Ninja Showdown and Dojo Battle 3-Packs.  These listings seem to come from an e-tailer based out of Coronado, California.  It’s unclear whether or not they were originally acquired overseas, or if this is the first evidence of stateside distribution for these particular items.  Hit up the links below to check out the auctions:

Don’t forget, too, that I’ve already posted advanced reviews of every figure included in these two 3 Packs!  You can check out the reviews on my G.I. Joe: Retaliation Review Page, or click the links below.

Looks like things are going to start getting very interesting over the next month when it comes to G.I. Joe: Retaliation toys…  can’t wait!  Thanks to The Terror Drome for the information.

G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club Footloose is arriving… with better wrist articulation!!

Wow, this is a very pleasant surprise.  The G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club notified us all last week that the Footloose figures were now shipping, and HissTank user Blot has received his!  How did someone in England receive their figure before everyone in the US?  I have no idea, but the best news is that Blot took some nice pictures of Footloose, and I’ll be damned.  He’s got the ball joint wrists!

I don’t believe we’ve seen those in any previous image.  An awesome addition by the Club and the figure is looking even cooler now.  Check out a couple of mirrored images below, take a look at HissTank.com for the rest, but most importantly keep your eye on those mailboxes!  Footloose incoming!

Speaking of Amazon, box images of rumored G.I. Joe: Retaliation Preview Pack

A while ago we reported on a rumor that Amazon.com was going to release a “Preview” pack of G.I. Joe: Retaliation figures prior to launch of the main retail figure line.  Well, ever since we have heard almost no new information whatsoever, so I think many fans are kind of assuming this has fallen by the wayside.

Well, not so much.

Images have emerged of the box for the rumored Amazon.com Preview 4-Pack, though they’re calling it a “Premiere Pack”.  The rumored figures of Roadblock, Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow all appear to be intact.

The most interesting thing about the box art, though, is that Cobra Commander is distinctly movie-accurate (unlike the single pack figure).  Perhaps this is where the black Cobra Commander will appear?  Information is sparse, but for now, enjoy the (sort of small) box images below.

Woah…Amazon exclusive G.I. Joe: Renegades 4-Pack on the way??

Someone out there has passed along some very interesting images of what looks to be a potential G.I. Joe: Renegades themed 4-Pack as an Amazon.com exclusive.  This surprising and somewhat mind-blowing set doesn’t feature any new characters (beyond the Red Ninja) and the look of the characters on the box is remarkably similar to what we’ve seen already.

But here’s a question… considering that G.I. Joe: Renegades was initially being designed as an animated style figure line, is it possible some of that defunct tooling could find their way into this set?  I don’t know.  Maybe I’m looking too deeply into it, but it seems weird to me that they would release a 4-Pack with mostly the same figures that we’ve seen at mass retail already.  Some previously unused tooling would make this set a LOT more desirable, I think.

I guess time will tell.  Until we get more details, check out the terrific looking box art below.  Can’t wait to see some images of the figures!!

UPDATE – Now that my little Renegades geek heart has slowed down a little bit…  there are some indications here that these could in fact be new figures of some sort.  Looking at the arms for Storm Shadow and Red Ninja, they look completely different than what we saw in the 30th Anniversary version.  Also, with Snake Eyes jumping around in a trench coat, could we see a coated version of Snake Eyes in this set?

The possibilities are very exciting.
