G.I. Joe and Jem get truly outrageous in another new Honda video

I don’t know how much licensing fees Honda is paying to use all these toys, but I’m glad they are, because this is some creative stuff they’re putting out there. Following up on the Honda commercial featuring the original 12″ fighting man and the leader of the holograms, a follow up has been released with G.I. Joe attempting to woo Jem with some of his mad skills.

Check out the video on YouTube or embedded below.

Happy Honda Days with Jem and G.I. Joe just because

I actually saw a Happy Honda Days commercial with Skeletor yesterday morning and thought it was pretty hilarious, but immediately wondered why the He-Man villain got top billing over some of the Hasbro cast of characters. Well, as of last night, I no longer had to wonder, as another Happy Honda Days commercial was posted to YouTube, this time featuring Jem and … of course… G.I. Joe!

The commercial was focused on the 12″ guys, but it’s still awesome. The G.I. Joe and Barbie trope is quite thoroughly abused, so at least the G.I. Joe and Jem mix up stays in house.

Check out the video below and thanks to skinny for the heads up.

Pre-Orders Announced for first Gentle Giant 12″ G.I. Joe – Rock n Roll!

We’ve been hearing about them for a few months now, and the pre-orders have officially gone live! Gentle Giant’s entry into the vintage G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero line is officially up for pre-order on Big Bad Toy Store. Check out the link below to pre-order and also take a peek at the great images courtesy of Gentle Giant themselves.

Okay, I have to admit, that Rock n Roll looks pretty sharp in those pictures.  This isn’t a line I plan on collecting, to be honest, but I can’t argue that seeing the vintage figure in that size and with those crisp paint apps is a pretty awesome nostalgia punch.

Good stuff.

Hallmark announces G.I. Joe 50th Anniversary Christmas Ornament

I think this news has been floating out there for a little while, but over on Hallmark’s Corporate website, they have announced a special edition G.I. Joe 50th Anniversary Christmas ornament for 2014. According to Hallmark, the ornament will be $19.95 and will be available in limited quantities exclusively at Gold Crown stores during their ornament debut starting October 4th.

The ornament is what looks to be an old school vintage G.I. Joe 12″ Action Soldier in an open wood grain box. Pretty neat looking. Check out the image below. Big thanks to YoJoe contributor notpicard for the info!
