Thanks to Kenny, who reminded me to get my DVR rolling tonight, I managed to get a promo for next week’s episode of G.I. Joe: Renegades. Episode 8 supposedly will introduce Scrap Iron. The full episode description as found on my Renegades SuperSite is as follows:
“Scrap-Iron kidnaps Tunnel Rat and uses him to test a weaponized exo-suit. Roadblock attempts a rescue by allowing himself to be kidnapped as well.”
From a conceptual standpoint, these Exo-Suits remind me a lot of the SNAKE Armor from the Marvel days. Robotic suits of armor that control the user’s mind…very interesting. Check out the embedded video below.
It’s nice to at least have 30 seconds of Renegades goodness tonight. I think I’m going to have withdrawls…
I’ve been checking TVGuide.com and the MSN TV Listings for a while now, trying to get an idea of how the season is going to proceed, and I stumbled upon the IMDB Listing for G.I. Joe: Renegades. Much to my excitement, IMDB has nearly every single episode title listed for the first season! While there are no new descriptions, there are a ton of new episode titles to try and decipher. Check out all of the episode titles below:
Season 1, Episode 8: Rage
Original Air Date—7 January 2010
Season 1, Episode 9: Dreadnoks Rising
Original Air Date—14 January 2010
Season 1, Episode 10: Busted
Original Air Date—28 January 2010
How’s this for dedication? Even among four separate Christmas events over the past 24 hours and preparation for a fifth tomorrow, I’ve got the latest two episodes of G.I. Joe: Renegades added to the Episode Guide! Sure, they’re about 24 hours later than normal, but they’re there.
Truth is, the highlight of my week is doing these, and even though I made sure to carve out plenty of family time this weekend, I just had to put in some extra late night hours to get these posted. Check out the full episode reviews with tons of video as usual at the links below. As always, too, keep your browser pointed to the G.I. Joe: Renegades Supersite for the latest news and intel as it happens.
Merry Christmas!
For folks who don’t normally check out the Renegades stuff, you may want to… Episode Seven featured the Renegades debut of Private Skoog (AKA Tripwire) and callsign Stalker-1 (AKA Stalker!). A great 2-parter to be sure.
Another holiday, another one of The Hub’s “3 Day Weekend” promo’s! This time around, since the G.I. Joe: Renegades 2-Parter “Homecoming” is airing, we’ve got a few scant seconds of new footage.
The focus of the footage appears to be Roadblock…though in a decidedly unintimidating role. Check out the embedded video below.
Roadblock’s got quite the singing voice!
The G.I. Joe: Renegades 2-Parter “Homecoming” airs this Friday (Christmas Eve) from 5:00pm – 6:00pm. While Duke travels to his family home to try and prevent a Cobra attack, the Joes infiltrate a Cobra Industries Christmas party…
Shame on me for not noticing this earlier, but a huge thanks to “Mac” a GeneralsJoes commenter who set me straight. I know a lot of folks have been focusing on how cool it is that the Renegades production team are including Michael Bell and BJ Ward (who voiced Duke and Scarlett in the original Sunbow series) as parents to the Renegades Duke.
Well, that’s not the first Sunbow tribute we’ve seen in Renegades. In fact, just in the past “The Return of the Arashikage” 2-parter, if you thought you recognized the Hard Master’s voice, that’s because you probably did. He was played by Keone Young, who was none other than Storm Shadow himself in the original Sunbow series!
THAT is awesome. Kudos to the folks behind G.I. Joe: Renegades for working these terrific tributes into the show.
Continuing to update pretty quickly after airtime, Hubworld.com has posted The Return of the Arashikage (Part 2) to their Videos Page.
Check it out the link right here.
