Sideshow Collectibles has posted a bunch of pertinent information regarding the pre-order for the Sideshow Storm Shadow debuting this Thursday at Midnight.  They have also shown off an impressive photo gallery which I have mirrored below.  This is the information regarding the pre-order:

Remember that the Priority Pre-Order event for our new G.I. Joe Storm Shadow 12-inch Figure begins Friday, February 27t, at 10:00 AM (Pacific Time). For those of you who can’t wait to see the full figure, we’re posting the product gallery and info a bit early (see below).

The Sideshow Exclusive edition of this figure is limited to only 1,000 pieces worldwide and will only be available direct from SideshowCollectibles.com. The Exclusive edition features an extra accessory: the Nunchucks Weapon! The Exclusive will be sold during the Priority Pre-Order event on a first come, first served basis so make sure you are qualified for Priority Pre-Order before Thursday, February 26th at 11:59 PM (PT).

All of these details are also available at Sideshow’s site.

Storm Shadow is certainly following the trend set by Snake Eyes, COBRA Commander, and the COBRA Trooper.  A very impressive looking 12″ rendition of COBRA’s 1st Ninja Assassin.  Very cool.

Sideshow Toys announces new 12″ G.I. Joe Items

Sideshow Collectibles celebrates the last day of Toy Fair 2009 with an announcement of an upcoming 12″ Storm Shadow and more “specialized” COBRA Troopers.  The story has been posted on Sideshowtoy.com and the photo has been mirrored below.  A big thanks to meeko on HissTank.com for the news.

It should be noted in the photo below as well that there appears to be a different COBRA Trooper, one with tan webgear and a red facemask.  It would appear that this version might be the Sideshow Exclusive version of their Trooper that has yet to be revealed.

Sideshow Collectibles is going 12″ G.I. Joe RIGHT

Is that blasphemous?  I mean Hasbro invented 12″ action figures right?  They kind of have a 45 year history with the whole thing.

Well, yeah, of course, but the main difference is that Hasbro makes 12″ figures for Joe and Jane Consumer to be sold at Wal-Mart for twelve bucks.  Obviously they’ve got some limitations.  Sideshow Collectibles has thrown all limitations out the window, and priced their 12″ offerings at a dubious $100+ per figure, which I might think would scare off a good majority of even the most hardcore G.I. Joe collectors.

Regardless of this fact, Sideshow puts their mouth where the money is and when you invest big bucks, you get a huge return.

Check out Monkey Depot’s review of the new 12″ Snake Eyes, then take a few minutes to clean the drool out of your keyboard.  How many kinds of kick ass is that?
