Over the past several months, Zica Toys has been releasing many vintage themed action figures, with the Six Million Dollar Man toys getting the most mainstream attention (that I’ve seen).
A while ago, I had reported that they had obtained the license for Captain Action, and had said they would be producing vintage style figures, in the same vein as the old school G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toys. Well, obviously this caught my eye, and many other eyes as well.
For the first time, over on their Facebook page, Zica Toys has revealed a digital image of this upcoming Captain Action figure, which does look reminiscent of the G.I. Joe figures of old, though the waist joint certainly doesn’t quite look the same. Also, there is no familiar “Swivel Arm Battle Grip”, however, there is a swivel above the bicep/tricep according to Zica Toys. The figure will also apparently have double jointed knees and elbows, though. Check out the digital image below, and be sure to keep watching the Zica Toys Facebook Page for any updates!

It’s been all over the web, so I figure most of my readers are aware of it already, but Jack passed it along to me, so I figured I’d spread the word as well. If you have an eBay account, you’ll want to change those passwords. Their security systems were apparently illegally accessed within the past week or two, and the depth of the infiltration is currently unknown.
Of course, the process for changing your password isn’t real simple either. Check out CNet.com for a nice tutorial on how to do just that.

I had a real sense of excitement when the Kindle Worlds announcement was first made, and over the weekend, I finally got all three parts of my first G.I. Joe novel, The Price of Peace online!
Book Three: Final Conflict has been added to the Kindle Worlds store alongside Books One and Two, and that rounds off The Price of Peace.
That first novel kick-started my entire online G.I. Joe universe, and rolls right into my Dio-Story continuity, which is still pushing forward today. I will say, too, there are elements and events in my novel that directly relate to events in Darkness Falls, so if you really want to be up to speed, you may want to pick those up.
Click the banners below to grab each new volume, and I thank everyone for their support so far!

Note – A recent WordPress/Webcomic update has kind of screwed up the navigation alignment. I am working on fixing it, but hopefully it’s functional enough to use. I didn’t want to hold off posting the new episode, and I will do my best to get it fixed. If there are any CSS wizards in the house, I wouldn’t turn down the help. 😉

Over on his Facebook page, Dave Tree linked back to an Transformers at the Moon news article which has identified a new and intriguing Hasbro trademark. Keep in mind, this is a Transformers themed trademark, but it could have potential ramifications across many different Hasbro brands, I would think.
The trademark is for something called “ALLSPARK” which seems to be a software program for designing and customizing digital files for 3D Printing.
This is what the trademark states specifically:
Trademark Details
Category: Computer software for creating, designing, modifying, customizing, sharing and saving computer generated representations capable of being printed by a three dimensional printer to create physical objects, namely, jewelry, ornaments, arts objects, artifacts, household goods, toys, games, hobby models, accessories, office products, and various other consumer products
Again, this is obviously geared specifically towards the Transformers brand, but who knows how it could spread throughout other avenues of Hasbro product. Don’t forget, we previously reported on Hasbro’s deal with “3D Systems” for this same purpose, so there are certainly elements of Hasbro that are leaning towards further development of this technology.
Something to keep an eye on for sure. Check out the full article right here and thanks to Dave Tree for catching this.

Stuff like this is truly the reason social media exists… taking one family’s struggles and turning into a full blown tribute to two young heroes who achieve greatness…all while being narrated by Flint and Lady Jaye!
Paul over on Facebook let the G.I. Joe Discussion Group know about his young son’s early life battling cancer. Given very grim chances for survival at only two years old, this young man overcame the illness and has now been a cancer survivor for five years.
Every year Paul makes a movie poster tribute to celebrate his son’s conquest over the disease, but this year he took it one step further. Bringing his younger sister into the action, he compiled a fantastic four-minute video chronicling the two young warriors, now known as “The Silence and The Darkness”! Not only that, but Bill Ratner (Flint) and Mary MacDonald-Lewis (Lady Jaye) lent their considerable vocal talents on narration.
This was an amazing video to watch. Kudos to Paul and his family, and thanks for sharing this great tribute to two young fighters.
