Sideshow Collectibles has posted their latest Q & A, and among the questions asked was the following:
“Is there any chance that Beachhead and Firefly can be made for the G.I. Joe series?”
“Yes! Both Beachhead and Firefly are currently in development for our G.I. Joe line.”

“Ole Faithful” cmderinchief from JoeBattleLines and the Coil Club has come through with lots of nice, detailed images of the COBRA Ice-Viper from the upcoming Rise of COBRA toyline. Regular GeneralsJoes contributor cmderinchief recently got his hands on an Action Force themed repaint of the 25th Anniversary Scarlett figure, and was nice enough to let Blood for the Baron break the story. To this point it is unknown as to whether or not this figure will ever even see release, but it remains an interesting figure nonetheless.

Long time overseas pre-production seller sicdunbine has posted an auction for a loose sample of the upcoming Rise of COBRA Ice-Viper. What makes this auction unique is that there are some nicely detailed images of the COBRA trooper, including a shot of the visor and showing that it raises up to reveal a mask underneath. An apparent G.I. Joe concept artist, Bobba Vala, has posted some neat art to his DeviantArt page. Looks like he did some input drawings for the various backpacks for the Best of 80’s Battle Pack (which, incidently, were some of the coolest parts from the set). Along with the images of upcoming vehicles on HissTank.com, toyssir898 also comes through with quite the coup! We get a very detailed look at the apparent upcoming SDCC Destro 2-pack featuring a movie-accurate Destro in full business suit as well as one of his ancestors with his own unique mask and set of weapons. We’ve been getting treated to some ACToys image goodness over the past couple of weeks, and today is no exception as a couple of particular threads are inundated with new images of the upcoming Defense of COBRA Island and Assault of COBRA Island 7-Packs. Over thirty images all told! If this is the last real gasp for the 25th Anniversary line, it is going out with a very large bang! Hisstank newcomer toyssir898 is already making a splash by posting some images of upcoming vehicles for the Rise of COBRA toyline. These all appear to be repaints and/or retools, but for the first time we get a look at a red repaint of the Smokescreen Sky Sweeper, a plane from several years ago. While the plane is nothing to write home about (it’s basically a badly squished Stealth F-117) it appears to come with a nice homage to the vintage COBRA Aero-Viper. While the fate of the Combat Heroes line remains firmly up in the air, another item that is potentially in the wings has been uncovered on Asian auction site TaoBao.com. HissTank.com forum member elkkthunder has stumbled across an apparent Wal-Mart exclusive “COBRA Pack” containing a repainted Destro, Baroness, COBRA Commander, and… Tomax and Xamot! A very cool looking set, but with the future of Combat Heroes so murky, who knows what will come of it?

HissTank.com forum member Mern-Ra has apparently acquired an early sample of the upcoming Hit and Run figure from the Assault on COBRA Island 7-Pack. Anyone who has read any of my dio-stories knows that Hit and Run is a central character to my G.I. Joe story, and I’m one of his biggest fans…so I immediately asked Mern-Ra if I could host his images here as well, and he kindly obliged!
