The Hasbro reveals haven’t quite materialized yet (should be today!) but still exciting news out of JoeCon for Friday.
Over at the Broken Arrow toys booth, some brand spanking new Eagle Force Returns reveals have emerged! And not just figures, but actual playset items as well. Images have been posted over at HissTank.com and some really awesome stuff coming.
I’ve mirrored the images below… but dude…check out the Eagle Island! Holy cow.
Also, over on JoeCustoms, Joe Harris, who has been working with Fresh Monkey on some Eagle Force concepts, has posted some fantastic up close images of the template for the communications dish as well as a nice look at the Eagle Island playset. I’m really loving how this line is coming together and will be earmarking some serious cash for the upcoming Kickstarter.

Most G.I. Joe collectors are intimately familiar with the fact that across the pond, our Real American Hero (and the 12″ version that came before) were introduced under a slightly different moniker.
Action Man hit the ground running over in Europe back in the 60s and is celebrating his 50th Anniversary this year in a pretty huge way.
In Loveland, Colorado today at the 2016 G.I. Joe Convention, Dave Tree, reknowned Palitoy and Hasbro UK expert (as well as the mastermind behind UK G.I. Joe & Transformers convention Roll Out Roll Call), revealed some exciting plans for Action Man throughout the rest of 2016 and into 2017. He held a fantastic panel and has graciously allowed GeneralsJoes to display his panel slides RIGHT HERE. This is awesome, and I’m honored that Dave is willing to let me do this, because there is some pretty exciting breaking news here.
In 2016, Action Man will be celebrating his 50th Anniversary with SIX new products, all 12″ action figures, very reminiscent of original figures from his original years of release. Looking forward, there are TEN proposed products for 2017 in the UK as well.
Along with this, Action Man is poised to make his debut in comics with IDW Publishing, playing a large role in the upcoming Revolution story line. Along with all of this, some pretty exciting news as Action Man will actually be launched into space!
This coming Sunday, June 19th, the Mercury 10 Action Man will be sent up to orbit as a celebration of his 50th Anniversary. Dave Tree revealed all of this for the FIRST TIME at JoeCon today, and again, has kindly offered his slide deck to GeneralsJoes, which is mirrored below.
Regardless of whether or not your an American G.I. Joe fan or a European Action Man fan, the two brands have a ton of shared history and it’s pretty fantastic to see how Action Man’s 50th Anniversary is being celebrated. Folks who love the vintage aesthetic and long for some new and exciting 12″ product be prepared, because some great stuff is no the horizon!
Huge thanks to Dave Tree again, and check out all of the mirrored images below. If you like what you see here, please try and make plans to attend Roll Out Roll Call, one of the most exciting international toy conventions out there, and a sure fired source for one hell of a good time.

While package pickup was late last night, the first official day of the 2016 G.I. Joe Convention is today! Already we’ve seen the parachute drop and panels by Adam Riches and James Kavanaugh, Jr., and some great updates are over at the G.I. Joe Discussion Group on Facebook. Dave Tree’s Action Man panel is hot on their heels.
Hot ticket item for the Con this year appears to be the carded Pythona, which was apparently sold without limits and burned through very quickly in the Club store.
G.I. Joe Con attendees will be getting their first sneak preview at the sales floor today at 2:00pm Mountain time, which includes the Hasbro booth, but don’t be alarmed if there isn’t much to look at there yet. Generally Hasbro puts out most (if not all) of their new product AFTER their panel, which happens tomorrow morning at 11:00am Mountain time.
It does look like someone got an advanced sneak peek at the Hasbro booth, and so far they’re just showing the SDCC set (priced at $99.99) but as I said, we can anticipate seeing much more than that tomorrow after their panel.
Stay tuned!

It’s Con Set pick up day! That means a first look at all of the various Convention exclusives (aside from the boxed set items). Several different folks on the G.I. Joe Discussion Facebook page have posted images from the pick up line, and the extra exclusives are as follows:
- G.I. Joe Glider 2 Pack w/ Cloudburst and Skymate ($75.00)
- COBRA Heli-Viper 3 Pack ($85.00)
- Sky Patrol JUMP 6 Pack ($55.00)
- COBRA JUMP 6 Pack ($55.00)
- Sky Patrol Sky Sweeper ($68.00)
- COBRA Hydra w/ Aero-Viper ($85.00)
- Sky Patrol Skystriker ($160.00)
- Paradrop Freefall figure (loose $35.00 and carded $45.00)
- Pythona Carded ($38.00)
- Free Attendee Air Raid
The Skystriker and Sky Sweeper are in the familiar Sky Patrol metallic colors, while the majority of the other items are reminiscent of their vintage look and feel. Interestingly the Aero-Viper is very similar to the version released during the Rise of Cobra line, but with some different parts to remove the Neo-Viper-esque ties. Check out all of the images below.

Rumor from the convention floor is that product for JoeCon is “stuck in customs” and won’t be at the hotel until late tonight. What that means is Golden Ticket pick up is now slated for around 3:00pm tomorrow, so don’t stay up late tonight to see the news, East Coast. 🙂

If there’s any advantage to not making the trip to Loveland this year (and really, this is about the only advantage I can think of) it’s that I can at least try and sit back and offer some coverage of the JoeCon excitement. With this being only the third Convention I haven’t been able to attend in thirteen years, you’ll have to excuse me if I’m a bit melancholy and a little unaccustomed to the coverage from this perspective.
Today is Wednesday, which means it’s Golden Ticket pickup! There will be no special attendee exclusives revealed today, HOWEVER Golden Ticket holders will be getting their Convention Comic, and within the pages of that convention comic should be the details about the rest of the convention exclusives!
Golden Ticket pickup is at 8:30pm mountain time tonight, which should be around 10:30pm eastern. It’ll be here before you know it.
Check out my post from last year to see how this tends to look, and while we won’t get a specific idea of many of the individual characters or how they look, the list of exclusives will shed some light.
Even though I’m not in Colorado, I do have some “boots on the ground” and will endeavor to get the information relayed as fast as humanly possible… although I would much rather be in Loveland enjoying my favorite weekend of the year, there are still plenty of exciting things to come over the next several days, I hope you’ll join me in this year’s JoeCon coverage!

Another fun-filled episode of The Full Force podcast hits just as we’re getting hyped up for JoeCon, and the timing couldn’t be better! All the latest news (and there’s a ton of it), an interview with myself and Jim Beard about our upcoming Joy of Joe project, and all the fun antics from those crazy Joefans from across the pond.

As always you should follow The Full Force on Facebook as well for all the latest updates.
It’s that time again!! The Full Force boys are back with a brand new episode filled with all the things you have come to expect….ooer!! Packed with innuendo laced material, much like that previous sentence, news brought to you by Justin Bell at General’s Joes and WOJM and as up to date as one can manage when having to edit hours of Dave Tree. A classic figure review of Jammer to commemorate his FSS 4 appearance, modern reviews by Justin Bell and an interview with Jim Beard and that pesky Justin Bell again as they discuss their upcoming ‘Joy of Joe’ book project and other cool things!! On top of that we continue with our new ‘Male Bag’ segment, the smallest ‘What We Got In’ ever and a brand new game called ‘File-O-Facts’!! What could that be? There’s only one way to find out……FULL FORCE!!!

It’s tough to say whether the leak of information and images had anything to do with a reveal of the upcoming G.I. Joe/Transformers ComicCon set, but whatever the reasoning, we now have official press photos of the set to share as revealed by Uproxx yesterday.
Check out the images below.
