———-
Are you ready for the new Harry Potter movie this week? Then definitely check out these awesome deals on Harry Potter mini busts by Gentle Giant! We also have several of the newest Harry Potter Busts releases as PreOrder CHO CHANG ORDER OF THE PHOENIX MINI BUST BY GENTLE GIANT – $15.95
After the death of her boyfriend, Cedric Diggory, at the Triwizard Tournament, Cho Chang was still suffering from the loss upon her return to school in September. Her increasing feelings for Harry did not help her troubled state of mind, and she quickly changed from being a popular, giggly girl into one who could be found more often than not crying in the toilets. She nevertheless joined Dumbledore’s Army when it was set up and became an enthusiastic member, learning to master spells she had always struggled with before. Limited Edition of 2500. Designed in 1/6 scale – Stands 6 inches tall. FRED/GEORGE WEASLEY MINI BUSTS SDCC 2-PACK SET BY GENTLE GIANT – $29.95
Where there’s one Weasley twin, the other can’t be far behind. So it is here as Fred and George are up to their old shenanigans! Fred offers a treat from their Skiving Snackboxes, while George laughs hysterically on the sidelines. Gentle Giant offers its Harry Potter collectors this unique 2-pack of mini busts a former Comic-Con Exclusive. Each statue measures about 7 1/2-inches tall, and the sets are limited to 2,000 pieces. Order this and you get twice the fun and magic in one box! HARRY POTTER YR 5: ORDER OF THE PHOENIX MINI BUST BY GENTLE GIANT – $14.95
Now in his fifth year at Hogwarts, Harry Potters life begins to get ever more perilous as he encounters terrifying dreams, a teacher with an attitude like venom, and corruption of the highest level. Soon he finds himself in the Ministry of Magic under direct threat from some of the most feared creatures in the magical world: Voldemort’s Death Eaters. Harry has to partake in deadly detentions, secret meetings with fellow students, and he gets banned from one of the things he loves the most. But it’s not all gloom and doom! Limited Edition of 5000. Designed in 1/6 scale – Stands 6.25-inches tall. NYMPHADORA TONKS HARRY POTTER MINI BUST BY GENTLE GIANT – $24.95
Nymphadora Tonks, who despises her given name, prefers to use her surname alone. She is described as a vivacious young woman in her twenties, an Auror and a member of the Order of the Phoenix. As a Metamorphmagus, Tonks can alter her appearance at will. She makes extensive use of this skill not only to disguise herself in the line of duty, but also for experimenting with her appearance and even for the entertainment of her friends. However, she is notoriously clumsy and unskilled at household spells like cooking, cleaning and setting up place settings tending to break dishes when trying to help. This mini bust stands 7.5 inches tall. REMUS LUPIN HARRY POTTER MINI BUST BY GENTLE GIANT – $29.95
Man, wizard, or wolf? Yes! In the Harry Potter universe, Remus Lupin is a strong and powerful wizard. He’s also a werewolf and one of Hogwarts most revered teachers. From Gentle Giant, this remarkably lifelike rendering of this very capable master of the Dark Arts stands 7-inches tall and portrays him precisely as seen on the silver screen. Here he looks like an ordinary man, but will that change after you get him home? Add him to your growing gathering of mini busts and other Harry Potter memorabilia and find out! Limited edition to 1,250 pieces. (more…)
The Discovery Education website has kicked off a cool little “Meet the Storytellers” section of their website, and has put some focus on the creators behind the Transformers: Prime and G.I. Joe: Renegades animated series. While there isn’t much detail written into these snippets, it’s always pretty cool to get a peek behind the scenes look. Check out the links below:
Like I said, nothing fantastic, but some neat peeks into the production team of the upcoming animated series. A big thanks to BCYOJOE of HissTank.com for the info!
A big thanks to the MSGiJoe CollectorsClub for letting me know that Ron Rudat has posted a wealth of new images for SK Omega on his Facebook page. Some full color pictures of cast members we know already, and a ton of black and white drawings for characters apparently in the works. Ron Rudat is one of the artists working on this line, and seems to be taking up right where he left off as the artist on G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero back in the day.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m getting a very 80’s and 90’s old school G.I. Joe vibe off this stuff and I LOVE it. Can’t wait to see some actual toy images. Check out the mirrored images below.
IMAGES WERE EARLY CONCEPTS – REMOVED AT REQUEST OF IMAGE OWNER
Hey, folks. I know the page here has been unusually quiet over the past couple of days. Had a very long shift at work that ended with some potential changes to my current position.
Good news is, it’s a pretty big promotion, bad news is, that means quite a bit more responsibility, probably a bit more stress, and might mean somewhat fewer updates from time to time, depending on work stuff going on.
Don’t worry, though, I’m not going anywhere, I’ll just have to find more creative ways to get content out there.
Thanks for sticking by the site as always! You guys are all the best.
After weeks and months of silence and somewhat frustrating lack of updates from Hasbro or The Hub, the G.I. Joe: Renegades publicity train has officially left the station and is barreling down the tracks. While we’ve seen some peeks here and there of the Renegades universe, here, we finally get the full on G.I. Joe: Renegades launch trailer treatment. And it is good. Very good.
Check out the embedded video below.
By now, folks know I’m eager to see this get rolling. This trailer has made me even more eager. Animation is nice and smooth, the story certainly doesn’t seem too stilted for the younger age set. Time will tell. I can’t wait for the 26th so we can get a real idea of how things are going to progress.
Amidst all of the Renegades news last night, this one slipped under the radar…but no longer! The Sideshow Dusty looks like an amazing figure, but he needs some dudes to shoot at. Here is the first!

Starting with the G.I. Joe Renegades: Tactics game launch today, and continuing on with the awesome above promotional video, it would seem as if The Hub has kicked things into gear now that we’re within 14 days of the premier of G.I. Joe: Renegades. Awesome.
The ad above can be found on YouTube (via The Hub) and also on The Hub’s Facebook page as well. LOVE this.
Information comes via the lovehubworld Twitter account that a brand new G.I. Joe: Renegades flash-based game is now online at Hubworld.com! Screenshots will be forthcoming, but for now, here is some information about the game: About This Game
Brought to you by Hasbro

• Each completed mission brings you closer to finding COBRA’s secret Weapons of Mass Destruction — and the proof of your innocence!”
An apparent tactical strategy game, there are dossier screens (many of them “classified”) and a pretty neat looking strategic element to the overall gameplay. While I haven’t had a chance to fully dive into it yet, on the surface, it looks like a fun one, with some stuff to unlock. I’ll be trying it after work, that’s for sure! Or maybe even at work if I can get away with it. 😉
Check out some screen shots below!
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been enthusiastically following the G.I. Joe: Cobra ongoing series, even as it deviates from the more standard Cobra coverage and goes into the Coil’s more “cult like” tendencies. I really enjoy this dynamic between the underground almost supernatural cult angle and the polished brick & mortar corporate structure, and somehow make them all mesh together in a seamless way.
I’m not sure they quite pulled it off by the end of this arc, but they did tell a pretty interesting tale. I’ll be honest, though, I’m ready to move along and see what Chuckles has in store for us starting again with issue #10.
To avoid spoilers, I will continue the review after the jump. (more…)
