Asian G.I. Joe fansite, ACToys.net has gotten some very nice images posted of the upcoming third wave of Pursuit of Cobra single pack figures. Referred to by many as “Wave 3”, this is actually the first wave of 2011 product, which generally starts hitting retail around the end of the previous year. So hopefully we may see this product on store shelves December of 2010, or January, 2011.
Thanks to The Terror Drome for the intel, the images are mirrored below.

That Duke has some of the Venom vs Valor era look about him (not a bad thing), the Snake-Eyes is yet another Snake-Eyes to buy (when they 1st released the 25th version of the 82 SE, I was content, then they made the 89 SE who I had as a kid. Happy they then made the Paris Pursuit Snake-Eyes and followed up by sneaking the Resolute Snake-Eyes in and calling him City-Strike SE, Hasbro isn’t one to rest on their Laurels.. )
Storm Shadow is alright, perfect for Ninja Gaiden customs or for anyone who missed out on that version packed with Tunnel Rat, and his outfit has potential for anyone who customizes. Cool.
Nothing can be said about the Shock Trooper, should have sent a poet.
Pretty surprised that we’re seeing carded samples of these before we see prototypes. However, all of them look pretty good. It’ll be interesting to see how these are packed, though, considering there’s only 4 figures in a wave. Let’s hope Storm Shadow is shortpacked…
I’m already starting to get sick of the over use of Duke, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow in POC. Come on Hasbro, pull some other characters out of your bag of tricks. Duke and the ninjas are the are the only peg-warmers from the first wave.
Interesting to note are the numbers on the cards. While the ones we have now are 1001 and up, these are 1101 – 1104. Seems reasonable to assume that the skip to 1100 from 1000 somehow denotes them coming out next year as opposed to this year. But then that’s relative. Seems Hasbro always intends to release stuff in Januray but we see it late November/early December. Even going to YoJoe.com they follow this rule as every year of the 25th line they have things listed in the following year that I bought in-store early Decemebr the previous yesr. So I’m sure we’ll see this line in Decemebr, even though it’s designated a 2011 product.
Can’t complain too much about the extra Duke and Snake Eyes, both versions look solid. Storm Shadow again is …interesting (like his wave 1 version). The (bobble-head) Shocktrooper is just super boring. After the incredible Alley-Viper from wave 1, why do we need this guy?????
Agh, so many people say they wish Hasbro would stop making Snake Eyes, but I wish they would stop making him SO COOL. They keep making cool toys, I’ll buy them! At the very least, Storm Shadow is not only uninteresting, but contains an action attack. Thank god they didn’t give him any interesting weapons, either. Total skip. Duke is awesome, though! I haven’t gotten as sick of him as others, ’cause I don’t buy Duke very often.
@Hawkwinter – I think people like myself will use this as a Cobra Trooper 2.0

Can’t deny that it’s a good looking figure, the carded sample doesn’t show ANY of the details.
With the heavy use of Duke and Snake-eyes in every wave I can’t help but wonder if there isn’t someway Hasbro could work Iron-Man and Spider-Man into PoC to and just really flood those pegs in style.
Give me a case of Cobra Shock Troopers, and I’m content for this wave. SE is cool, but notice that he has only one head (as far as I can see) in the package. I think I overheard one of the Hasbro guys at Comic Con saying that the heads would be variant. So, basically…you have to buy two SE in that wave to be a completest. Ugh x Infinity!
That Duke has just about the worst gear ever. I’m not sure what that back-pack thing is supposed to represent, but it looks like a nerf missile launcher or something out of American Gladiators. The figure itself is ok, but that backpack is a joke. As for SS…I like his helmet? That is all.
Happy Friday!
Is that Snake Eyes supposed to be a joke? Two identical sword sheath backpacks and, oh heck, let’s throw three swords in there. Could have dropped two of those swords for an explosives satchel or… useful accessories. So we are down to cosmetic changes for Duke, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow with multiples of the same gear we’ve seen SO MANY TIMES in the last 2 years time… blah. Don’t even get me started on how Duke version Duke.Duke should have been Fast Draw. That makes TWICE in the Pursuit of COBRA that Duke has murdered another team member and stuffed himself in the card blister.
Well, what I see is that if people don’t get to these cases first then they will never see the COBRA Shock Troopers. Many a Walmart, Target and Toys R Us store will have pegs clogged with Duke, Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes figures and all the people who plan to buy figures will be lamenting how they cannot even find one COBRA Shock Trooper.
Hasbro, between this and the recent Sgt. Slaughter issue, do you even understand your fan base who buys your product????????
Oh thank God there will be some more Duke, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow figures coming!
Yes! Puke, Stagnant Eyes, and Bored Shadow! Awesome!!!
Meh. The wave that follows this one will be cool. It has Shadow Tracker and that SAW viper Destro.
i really want to like the Duke. I do. gah.
just waiting on Low-Light
I want the Duke so I can pop a Rock’n’Roll head on him.
@ Crosshair
Sorry, I don’t see it. You did pick the one picture where his head doesn’t look like it makes up half his body mass though. It’s one of those figures though that’ll have to be in hand to make a real decision, some figures just don’t photograph well, they look way better in hand.
As for a Cobra trooper, he doesn’t fit in anywhere because of the odd dark gray colors. And honestly he looks more like SWAT and therefore a good guy than anything else. But no worries, this leaves more troopers for you guys and I already have way to many I’m stockpiling in boxes anyway…lol
Question though….why the name change??
Hahah, well I use “Crosshair” as my username on most of the Joe message boards. I’m not really sure why I picked “Strider” when I started commenting on here…
I’m so inordinately ticked about that Snake Eyes having a running change/chase for the visor head. Firefly and Dusty come with a ton of gear and two unique heads. This figure comes with a ton of gear and you have to buy two of the same damn figure to get both heads. That’s BS, Hasbro.
