Making their worldwide debut at the G.I. Joe Convention in April, the 3 3/4″ Adventure Team is promising to make a splash with Joe collectors of every era. So far we haven’t heard a whole lot about the specifics of the sets, but there is finally some information to share, and even a look at all the card art for the terrific looking figures! Straight from GIJoeClub.com:
“The Adventure Team is almost here! The GIJCC will initially be offering THREE different 3 3/4-inch Adventure Team figure sets, all utilizing 25th Anniversary sculpts! Each figure comes packaged with a special accessory (vehicle, etc.) inside an “AT Mission Crate” package. Once you open the “AT Mission Crate”, you’ll find each figure on its own individual blister card. The first three sets are: ATAir Adventurer & Helicopter; AT Land Adventurer & 6-wheel ATV; Dr. “Venom” & AT Commander with giant man-eating plant. And now, we are thrilled to preview all FOUR Adventure Team backing cards! Click the thumbnail to see the full preview.”

So we’re getting 4 figures in this first batch? With just the Sea Adventurer left? That seems a bit… odd. Why not simply release all of them at once since they are getting us 4 out of 5?
Anyway, these look really cool. I’m super excited to get my hands on these.
As an artist myself, I really don’t want to offend the artist, but why doesn’t Dr. venom look anything like the actual Dr. Venom?
A 25th style Dr. Venom.
This makes me happier than all the Hasbro news we’ve gotten so far.
Are they planning on selling the figures without the vehicles as well? Doesn’t make much sense to have packaging inside of packaging.
I think I’m most interested in what the file cards for the AT say.
And if the Land Adventurer don’t come with no gorilla they shouldn’t tease me with no gorilla.
I agree with Hawkwinter, I am underwhelmed at the Venom cardart seeing how much I and other campaigned for it. Overall, I like the other cardart as they scream AT and 12″ mythos. I am also disappointed that we have to buy the entire “Mission Crate”. It will be one expensive endeavor to get one to open and one to keep sealed. Maybe I can snag an extra Venom to keep on the card from one of the 12″ collectors who don’t necessarily subscribe to the ARAH mythos.
