Ah, the ever vigilant Joefan Wal-Mart employees have cracked the code again and provided a rundown of what appears to be a listing from Wal-Mart for upcoming product. Note, NONE of this can be considered confirmed, as we all found out with Waves 14 and 15. However, so far the accuracy rating for these lists has been pretty damn high. I’m reluctant to say what I’m going to say, because it could “spoil” a lot of stuff, but it’s already out there, so we’ll go with it.
tkprime from HissTank.com and the SuperPoseable Blog are reporting that they have dug through the Wal-Mart computers and come up with a potential list for upcoming product:
Basic Figure Assortment $7.88
ZARTAN DSRT
RIPCRD DSRT
STRM SHADO NINJ
DSTR DEEP FRZ
DUKE PLR ASST
SNOW JOB PLR
Movie Offscreen 2 Packs $13.96
MV OFFSCREEN 2PK ASST
TNNL RT VS MNKY
SCHKBLST VS NIGH
GUNGHO COPPR
Mid Size(Alpha Class) Vehicles $15.97
ARMD PANTHR W/O
DFNDR X7 9 W/A
HISS ATK SET W/
ICE CTTR W/ SNO
Larger Vehicles(Bravo Class) $24.88
SNOW CAT W/ WHIT
COBRA FURY ALLE
Echo Class Vehicle $39.88
ECHO DBACK W/ ST
A pretty hefty list, but only a fraction of what we’re going to see this year. I’ve actually gotten word from someone I know within the Wal-Mart hierarchy as well, that has provided somewhat updated information with what you see above. According to this person, these are the finalized sets for the abbreviated stuff above:
- Armored Panther w/ Outback
- Defender X7 w/ Ashiko (???)
- HISS Attack Scout w/ Sand-Viper
- Ice Cutter w/ Snow Serpent
- Snow Cat w/ Whiteout
- COBRA Fury w/ Alley-Viper
- COBRA Diamondback w/ Star-Viper
According to my own source, those are accurate listings. There are other things down the pipeline as well that I don’t yet have ironed out, but maybe that sheds a bit more light on some of the question marks. Damn, that’s a lotta stuff.
Dude seriously, I’m going to be spending so much cash on this line, the sequal should have my name on it.
My “Buy” List has only two lines left on it, this and DCUC. I can’t afford anything else (although Transformers: ROTF is looking good.)
Well, that Alley Viper listing ought to please some people (although for others, complaints of having to troop build a tank to get it will probably be more common)
As for those comic-less (I assume) two packs… A release of Tunnel Rat and Shockwave, with Monkeywrench and a possible Night Viper? I’m sure that will excite people.
Gungho is going to be a headswapped Resolute Duke, given his game model.
I’m more interested in the possibilities from these offscreen two-packs than the vehicles, but I hope they’ve got newly sculpted pieces and some creativity involved as opposed to the ROC inspired Barbecue which is just the original in new and not improved colors. I’m definitely interested in their takes on non-movie characters, like they’ve done with Firefly and Shipwreck, but I hope they actually try something new on these, I don’t feel that 25th sculpts in movie colors is the way to go to sustain the line for the future.
I’m definitely interested in seeing the new Zartan, as he’s one of the characters I think is less interesting in his movie version. His head sculpt is top notch, look very cold blooded and also very reminiscent of Arnold Vosloo, but his drab military guy uniform is pretty bland and bring compared to Destro, and Cobra Commander. I’m not entirely sold on CC’s new look, but they definitely got creative on him, so I’m hoping this Zartan is more interesting as far as his wardrobe is concerned. I’m not saying he needs to be completely in the original style, but I don’t see why they can’t throw a hood and some dark colors on the man.

Sorry about the double post.
