For fans of the kiddified “Combat Heroes” line, there was an overseas auction for an upcoming movie set, Ripcord vs. Destro (although the auction has already been won and the items are no longer for sale).
What is even more interesting is that the auction shows a picture of the back of the package, which reveals an interesting look for COBRA Commander (as well as Destro in his infamous metal mask). I’m loving the Combat Heroes, but I’m loving the sneak peek into some movie designs even more. I’m sure there will be a fair share of complaints about the movie look for COBRA Commander, but time will tell how it translates on screen. I was the most excited about Cobra Commander’s picture. I’d call this a bit of a spoiler if we all didn’t know it was coming already. Only the look was new news, and I’m kind of glad they’ve given fandom a chance to get used to it. With all the doodads coming off his face and neck, my only concern is that their turning him into Darth Vader. Still, I like the mask all right. I just hope the rest of the uniform looks good.
