Got word from Hasbro today that they are offering a special G.I. Joe: Renegades Q & A round! Only one question per outlet, but they are willing to take questions focused on the G.I. Joe: Renegades Animated Series. Question has to be in by mid-day on Friday. Answers should be back February 7th.
I’m considering asking a question about the order of the episodes… yay or nay? Anything else anyone wants to know?
I say go for it, most of the other site will be asking about the appearance for their favorite character. :/
With Renegades expected to run 5 (?) seasons, are we going to get to the ‘more traditional’ team of Joes operating under the special forces banner?
As for the Renegades toys, will they be made with reused parts only or will they contain new parts that do not exist yet? For example: Snake eyes’ sheaths/backpack combo, Tunnel Rat’s webgear, etc.
I’d love to know if there are any plans to make a ‘Coyote’ vehicle based on the animated series.
It’s a great Hero vehicle…
Also, what was the reason for eliminating the Dreadnoks ‘Australian/English’ accents? I can understand the different designs and I had no problem with the way they looked, but was dissapointed when they opened their mouths.
What would the harm have been to make them foreign?
Is Ripcord really really dead? Really?
Who were Pulaski’s friends (the other vets in the mech episode) – Clutch, Zap, Grunt? What about the long-hair who the Joes first encounter?
Who were the Dreadnoks (I counted seven other than Zartan…)? Buzzer, Torch, Burnout and Road Pig seem definite. The others were probably Ripper, Machete, Monkeywrench…??
Will we also be getting vehicles with the new line of toys, i.e. – the Joe Coyote (Cobra Van), Destro’s escape helicopter, Flint’s jeep?
I like the order of episode question and I want to know if there is any official confirmation on a second season.
was the episode with a goggles-wearing scrap iron set in chicago with a mention of the iron grenadiers a nod to Gyre-Viper of the Iron Grenadier team from Chicago who wears goggles? hahahaha
WHY DOES IT SUCK!?!?
just kidding……..unclench your asscheeks.
id like to know…will the figures be strictly based on show designs or will there be a degree of departure to get the look to a more classic style?
for instance:
like Zartan’s “eye tattoos” –clearly absent from the movie zartan– were added to the figure for a more “Zartan” look.
straight Renegades look—or any nods to classic?
@788
Hasbro confirmed that the Renegades figs will be POC style.
Im with u on asking about the viewing order.
Will there be a same sex kiss between Cobra Commander and Duke?
Is Cobra Commander a top or a vers/top? If so, does he prefer missionary, side, or doggy?
……… Definitely not the right group of people for this… not one question here is worth there time in answering.
Ask them if they know when Justin of generalsjoesreborn.com is going to put out another dio-story chapter.
wait… who else is going by rev? a fellow minister joe fan?
your questions sounds good, and like one they can answer go for. ALthough the question about another dio-story sounds good too.
@Nathan….
they sure did say that.
however…that was a different question than mine. that question was whether or not the figs would have the “animated” styling like the star wars clone wars figs do. you can look at a CW and non-CW fig and instantly see the style difference.
my question is…
some renegades characters are spot on (for the most part) with their traditional looks…baroness, snake eyes, duke…while others are greatly changed…scrap iron, zartan.
will renegades figures be “tweaked” in any way to make them look more like classic styling.
in other words…i dont want a scrap iron w/lab coat! figure.
(ive not see “rage” yet…only clips. if hes in anything besides the labcoat, ive not seen it.)
Ask away Justin. Everyone else still wants to know when (insert codename here) will be released or if the cancelled (insert toy name here) will still be mass-produced.
I’m pretty sure we all know that the episodes were shown out of order. I’d only ask a question related to this if it is about future screenings or how they will be arranged on dvds.
Seems like other sites are set to ask the same question. So nay. I actually submitted the following question below at another site (the Tank) with doubts it will be selected. So I’m submitting it to this fine site who’ll hopefully see the long-term virtue of my question. Of which, will hopefully get Hub + Hasbro on the ball with Joe’s 50th Anniversary just less than 3 short years away. For the sake of 50 years worth of Joe, kindly consider submitting my following question.
***QUESTION FOR HUB/HASBRO SPECIAL BONUS Q&A***
Joe’s 50th Anniversary is less than 3 years away; with a minimum 2 years needed to plan. Given the new toon’s success, can Hasbro + Hub come together to plan (ahead) for the cartoon to play a crucial role in the 50th anniversary? Example, perhaps plan stories or something as simple as the toon’s “flashbacks” to dig deeper into Joe’s 50 year journey. Not to mention, time the toons to coincide with who’s to immediately come in the gold foil 50th anniversary single carded figures. Indeed Larry Hama successfully penned issue #86 to star a 12-inch classic; General Joseph Colton in 1988.
About 6 years later, Colton appeared with a “wave of classics” in 3.75 inch form in 1994. In 2014 can Hub + Hasbro do something similar + better? (minus that 6-year gap between comic/cartoon appearance and toyline release?) Kids seeing Colton + classics in cartoon action can then ask grandparents (who played with those 12-inch characters) to immediately buy 4-inch versions of those special “Renegades” figures. Not to mention, also buy closely related 50th anniversary waves to further complete their collections. Planning (ahead) the 50th toys with the successful new toon bring back generations of fans and families, together, for Joe’s once in a lifetime 50th anniversary…coming soon.
Yes, I agree with some others that if you ask the episode sequence question, try to couple it with an inquiry about correction for futre airings or a DVD set.
The other thing I’m curious about is the ratings. Is it doing well enough that a second season seems likely? I worry that the less flashy style and lack of youngsters will keep it from finding an audience like Transformers and Young Justice might.
I just emailed the question from JoeDios. I read this thread first so I wouldn’t send out the same question as Justin. 🙂
Here’s my question:
