Already in the short history of the G.I. Joe: Renegades animated series, we’ve seen Scrap Iron, Zartan, Destro, Storm Shadow, and a wealth of the Cobra hierarchy we’re used to. Well, on February 11th, the 12th episode of Renegades airs, titled “Firefight”. And while the title might suggest a more flame-based story, one thing we now know for certain. Cobra saboteur Firefly is breaking into the Renegades universe. Check out the full episode description pulled from TVGuide.com:

I’m guessing Firefly is going to be a woman. Lol. Just kidding, although I didn’t care for Friday’s episode, it had nothing to do Zartan’s re-imagining. I always preferred him as a Mercenary, and Leader of the Dreadnoks over his ninja origins. I just thought I had seen that same story too many times in A-Team episodes and movies.
Somehow comic book canon and accuracy didn’t matter at all with G.I. Joe: ROC or with Resolute… but it matters here? And you people really wanted a character who looks like a lame super villain????
Also, have you people ever heard of something writers call “character development”???……… no?… well I didn’t think so. Look it up, you might learn something… or maybe not…
