For many of us today was a vacation day, but the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club has continued posting their images for the upcoming 2011 G.I. Joe Collectors Convention exclusive figures! The last one in line was Captain Claymore (of course, the one I’ve been looking forward to the most).
He is now up and posted and features all sorts of great features:
- 25th Anniverary Style Action Figure
- Based on Classic TRU Exclusive Character
- NEW Headsculpt and NEW Camo Helmet
- Includes Stand, Machine Gun w/ bi-pod, Uzi, Removable Flashlight and Backpack
So a new head sculpt and a new camouflage helmet? Could this mean a Footloose is in the works? I certainly wouldn’t be surprised. The Club went with a black shirt it looks like, with the green tactical vest over it and the familiar yellow camouflage pants. I like, though I would have loved to have green camouflage to match Wet Suit and/or Leatherneck. Still, a great looking figure. For the most part, it looks like Outback from the neck down, with the new head. Pretty cool. Check out the images below.

Too bad this is a convention set. I could see paying $24 but that’s about it. Most of the figures downright suck. Boring and uninspired. But some are decent and/or have customizing potential. Wet-Suit is the only one I’ll be sad to miss out on.
Overall, I’m pretty sad they decided to go with the Mission Brazil and Python Patrol concepts.
Ah well, happy that PoC is still giving us great figures. Looking forward to finding Low Light.
What Hawkwinter said. Exactly.
I like the Sparta figure, but mainly because the head looks decent, though the windswept hair doesn’t do much for me. But looking at the figures, they sure weren’t lying about “25th Styling”, terrible articulation and all. What a bummer. I wonder if attendee exclusives will be any better?
That Claymore reminds me of his Devil’s Due appearance. Looks like there is an image on his shirt too.
If the Club follows this up with an exclusive Footloose that would surely rock… Or maybe the helmet is being used for a 30th Anniversary release down the road and the Club got to use it early. Either way I’ve got high hopes for a Footloose now.
That’s not an Uzi. It’s a Mac 10. FYI.
