HitFix.com had a chance to sit down with Channing Tatum and Dennis Quaid during a recent press event, and inquired about the recent news of the G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra sequel. The most interesting comments from from Tatum, who acknowledges the fact that the first film was rushed due to the writer’s strike, and that having some time to work on a script and more cohesive screenplay can only be a good thing going forward. Check out the video here, or also embedded below.
I gotta say, it’s pretty awesome hearing sequel news kicking into full gear… love it.
I love it! Quaid gives a shout out to the FIRST generation of Joe fans – back when Joe was 12″ of pure rough and tumble fun! Back when G.I. Joe was the first and best action figure – oh wait, he said G.I. Joe was a doll…
No, they’re 1/6th military collectibles with historically accurate interchangeable uniforms and accessories.
(sigh) Okay, my name is Tom and I like… dolls…
I really hope Quaid has a bigger part in the next one…He was one of the baest things in the movie.
This isn’t the interview where Tatum talks about burning his manhood is it?
I just hope that the Zombieland guys work in Quaid’s “Hawk on a horse in an accelerator suit” idea into the script somehow.
The first GI Joe movie sucked bigtime and the acting was horrible. I have no intention of watching the second one.
And why is Quaid wearing a WIG?
