The guys over at The Terror Drome have dug up a very nice image of the upcoming Toys “R” Us Exclusive Pursuit of Cobra Doc and Shipwreck (Arctic Threat) figures. It’s assumed these two figures will be part of the third wave of Toys “R” Us exclusive “Headquarters for Heroes” assortments. Check out the images mirrored below.

Love that Doc. Really colorful, but also has the familiarly colored pants that kind of bring it back to the vintage look at least a little bit. I dig it.
I’m definatly not feeling any love for that Doc.Just what is he going to do with the c-4 charge he has.As far as Shipwreck goes that is a strage weapons choice to give him.
Doc – GIJoe Sabateur!… haha. Those colors hearken back to the 90’s Joes. I have to have him! 🙂
absolutely garish! awful color choice! sucker me will still likely buy one even if its just for docs head.
Wow, Doc looks like he was designed and colored by a 5-year old. Do 5-year olds work at Hasbro? Because if not, someone needs to get off their lazy ass and start giving some thought and effort into this stuff. Christ, a chimp with a handful of markers could randomly pick a better color combo.
Shipwreck isn’t much better. Why not give us a real, established snow trooper instead of a sailor in a snowsuit? No wonder we’re already seeing cancellations…
I would say the colors are very Funskoolish, but considering his specialty, his own people would need to see him in a snow storm, and under the Geneva Convention, you’re not supposed to shoot at medics, right? So maybe Cobra is kind enough to follow through with that? Hahaha. I like it, because it isn’t black and grey.
Better Snow Doc than no Doc!
*ducks*
I’m digging both of these!
They remind me of the Johnny Quest figures from Galoob in the mid 90’s. I love figures geared up for a specific landscape or environment.
Is it possible this Doc is just a test shot of the molds and not necessarily the molded colors? We’ve seen stranger color combinations in test shots before. If these are the molded colors of Doc then I might have to pass. Its a great mold but those colors just don’t fit the Pursuit of Cobra look.
Shipwreck does look good and I’ll get at least one. I’m a sucker for arctic figures.
I think Doc looks great… That firefly kit will work well as rescue gear. Gas cans are Red…being blue makes that either Kerosene or Water. And I’ll rationalize the C4 away as making sense because Mortars and Cannons are used in Avalanche prevention.
It’s great to pop a uniquely colored figure like Doc here into the line every now and again…if they kept going with just the ROC or POC colors where every figure is Black,Blue, and artic it’d get really boring really quick. Remember the 2001 line where like every figure was OD and Brown? That set got super boring and is still super-forgettable.
