Keeping up with the regular schedule, the next round of G.I. Joe themed Q & A sessions is right around the corner! If you have any suggestions for questions, feel free to toss them in the comments section of this post. Also, don’t forget there are scores of other sites around the ‘net who will be gathering questions as well. We are now limited to three questions total, and deadline for submitting your ideas is Saturday, May 2nd, by 12:00 noon.
Don’t forget to check GeneralsJoes Q & A archive to see what’s been asked in past sessions!
1- The new Resolute/Movie Game HISS is fantastic. Is there any chance the design might see a release as a vehicle in the movie line?
2- Why are the firing missile launcher accessories in the Rise of Cobra toy line so oversized? I realize that there are safety regulations at work in this situation, but spring loaded weapons in other recent Hasbro toy lines, like Transformers and Star Wars: Clone Wars, are significantly smaller in size.
Will the Awesome Resolute Snake Eyes seen on Ebay be released and When? Seeing this figure alone sold for more that $300 I think there is a litte demand for Resolute Figure!!
At San Diego Comic-con last year, Hasbro teamed up with Toy Fare and gave 4 lucky winners their own personal G.I. Joe figure. What are the odds of this promotion, possibly with a different partner, happening again this year, either in San Diego, or at Joe Con in Kansas City? If a giveaway isn’t in the works, would you be willing to do offer this service for a price? The Hasbro reps I spoke to about this in San Diego last year seemed interested in going in that direction with the promotion.
With Rise of Cobra being a “reboot” to the G.I. Joe universe and the designs and storyline being quite different from the Joe we know and love, are you at all worried that the general public, who may only know G.I. Joe from the cartoons and 80’s toys, might be turned off by the radical new direction of the franchise?
Rock ‘n’ Roll is my favorite character. Any chance of seeing him in figure form either in his Resolute design (which was awesome!) or as an “off screen” movie figure?
Since Hasbro has two franchise films hitting this summer, is anything being done to ensure both lines will receive equal shelf space in stores? And on that same note, we’re already seeing toys from Wolverine, Star Trek and Terminator hitting shelves. And if sales of the first Transformers movie line is any indication, the Transformers 2 movie line will be going gangbusters and retailers will no doubt be loading up on Transformers toys. Since G.I. Joe hits later in the summer as the last big action movie of the season, are you worried about consumer burnout on movie toys?
