GeneralsJoes has received some detailed pictures of never-before-seen features of the upcoming COBRA Steel Crusher Humvee from the G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA movie line. This will be a Bravo scaled vehicle released with the COBRA Nitro-Viper.
At first it appeared to be your run-of-the-mill chunky almost Playskool-like jeep that served little form or function. Every closer look, though, gives it some more personality and more appeal. The swing-down armored roof and windscreen, the hidden missile launchers…lots of cool little details that each add something to the overall function of the vehicle. It still doesn’t blow me away, but each added detail makes it a little more cooler to me.

Pics are almost as bad as the vehicle pics from Bellemow’s book… Wish people would get on the level of the toy to show functions like these.
still thanks for the linking Justin.
Wow!!! I thought this was some regular Humvee with a cobra trooper behind the wheel, I had no idea it had all those great features. That rocket that drops open from a side tab, the holsters at the top,the roofs ability to pull forward to shield the windshield. Wow… just amazing!!!
This is a great vehicle and you have provided excellent news coverage for those not too familiar with the coil club.
Special thanks to you TOMmy and cmdrinchief!!! You have really brought this set up a notch in my eyes. Thank you!!

I can’t really say I like it too much. Then again I dislike Humvees in general (it was especially hard to buy movie Ratchet) so I’m definately giving this one a pass.
I really can’t see why people don’t like this? Good detail, nice playability and some great features, right down to the magazine in the gunner’s well to hold the extra missles. It’s relatively realistic (comparing to an H3), keeping in mind that all joe vehicles are somewhat deformed to fit the scale into a reasonable price point. Comparing against such ‘favorites’ as the bulbous, over-exaggerated Night Attack chopper, I see this as a tick in the win column. My .02
It still doesn’t look like there’s functional backseats. That’s the dealbreaker for me.
I was considering buying a few as Cobra VIP transports but if the only place for the VIP to ride is shotgun or standing on the decks or on the roof it’s pretty useless to me.
