G.I. Joe: Legacy Kindle Worlds Crossover begins with the Adventure Team!

A short while ago, we announced an exciting G.I. Joe themed Kindle Worlds crossover event entitled G.I. Joe: Legacy!  The idea was for four separate Kindle Worlds authors (Jim Beard, Bill Nedrow, Troy Osgood and myself) to write different installments of a G.I. Joe story taking place in different era’s of time, from the 1970s all the way up until the 21st century.

Well, Part 01, featuring the Adventure Team is online!  It’s a novella, very affordably priced at only .99 and will be kicking off this exciting G.I. Joe: Legacy project.  Look for the remaining parts to hit monthly over the next few months.  As one might expect, I’m handling the 90s.

Check out Jim’s Adventure Team installment here, it’s a great read, and very quick.  Good stuff, and I’m thrilled to be part of this project!

GI JOE KINDLE WORLDS AUTHORS UNITE FOR MULTI-PART EPIC

The four best-selling authors who recently competed in the GI Joe Hasbro Kindle Worlds Fan Vote contest, Jim Beard, Justin Bell, Bill Nedrow, and Troy Osgood, are joining forces to publish a four-part GI Joe story to launch this January on Amazon’s Kindle Worlds platform.

GI JOE: LEGACY will spotlight the four GI Joe characters from the contest in a sprawling, action-fueled saga that spans more than four decades, and will be published once a month for four months. Each author’s short story may be read on its own, but also as “chapters” of the larger adventure. In addition, Beard, Bell, Nedrow, and Osgood will write the stories in “round robin” fashion, each building off the previous installment.

The Kindle Worlds publication schedule will be:

GI JOE: LEGACY, PART 1 by Jim Beard (Adventure Team Marcus) – January 1st, 2016

GI JOE: LEGACY, PART 2 by Bill Nedrow (Stiletto) – February 1st, 2016

GI JOE: LEGACY, PART 3 by Justin Bell (Whisper) – March 1st, 2016

GI JOE: LEGACY, PART 4 by Troy Osgood (Blackjack) – April 1st, 2016

I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this exciting upcoming event!  I think it’ll be a lot of fun for readers, and I’m sure it’ll be a ton of fun for us authors, too.

Stay tuned, it’s coming fast!

G.I. Joe Collectors Club reveals 2016 Incentive Mike Power the Atomic Man!

Ohh, man.  While Pythona is convincing me to remain a 3 3/4″ themed member of the G.I. Joe Collectors Club in 2016, I can confirm without hesitation that I will be also purchasing Mike Power.  As most folks know, I love me some science-fiction mixed in with my G.I. Joe, and it doesn’t get much better than the Atomic Man!  With an actual LED eye and clear bionic limbs, this 12″ figure looks BOSS.  Of course now, if I pick him up, suddenly I’m going to feel like I have to go back and get all these other Adventure Team figures, too…  must… resist.

Anyway, check out the first revealed images below as well as the press release.  Good looking stuff!

NEW from the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club for 2016!

In 2015, the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club offered the first ever GLOW-IN-THE-DARK 12” G.I. Joe action figure! Doctor Isotope is his name, and he is the membership incentive figure for G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club this year. Anyone who had an active Club membership on March 16 of 2015 received Dr. Isotope in the mail at no additional cost. This unique figure is a villain bent on power and destruction, but as we all know, every great villain needs a strong hero to stand against him!

For 2016, the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club is raising the bar once again by offering a new version of the Classic 1970s figure – MIKE POWER THE ATOMIC MAN, a 12” inch figure which featured clear limbs and an eye that could be made to “blink” by blocking and unblocking the plastic pipe which carried light from the circle on top of the figure’s head to his right eye.

The NEW Atomic Man from the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club will feature kung fu grip hands, clear legs, a clear arm and an ALL-NEW head design which will include an electronic LED light up eye activated by tugging on his Adventure Team dog tag! The figure will come dressed in tee shirt, shorts, and white shoes based on the RARE vintage uniform from the Secret Mountain Outpost for Atomic Man produced in the 1970s. To add to the fun there will be an accessory uniform set for Atomic Man available for separate purchase!

To get the NEW Electronic Mike Power Atomic Man 12” figure, be sure to join the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club by March 16, 2016. With the NEW Atomic Man as a member of the Adventure Team, evil (and Doctor Isotope) won’t stand a chance!

G.I. Joe Collectors Club reveals full 12″ Boxed Set for 2014 JoeCon

…And it’s pretty flipping awesome.

For any fans who have been complaining about Hasbro leaving the 12″ fan in the dust when designing the 50th Anniversary product, you cannot accuse the Collectors’ Club of the same thing.  They’ve designed a really nice 50th Anniversary homage to the original Green Beret, and included a great Adventure Team figure in the set to boot.  Some really nice gear, and of course, that pesky 4″ Joe Colton in there stirring up trouble.

Check out all the details of the 12″ Convention Set right here, and I’ve mirrored an image below.  Now, fingers crossed we get a peek at Repulsor and DAWG today to help round off the Real American Hero set!

Alexx on JoeBattleLines single-handedly convinces me that Kre-O are must owns

This is hilarious.  I’m a big fan of Alexx’s reviews over on JoeBattleLines, JoeSightings, and other places around the web, and he really nailed it with his recent reviews of the G.I. Joe Kre-O product.

He was able to get his hands on some recent offerings, and posted one huge mega review featuring Alley-Vipers, Rock n Roll, the VAMP and Serpent Armor playset, etc…  the result is an awesome plethora of great pictures and hilarious commentary.  For some reason these Kre-O guys suit his sense of humor perfectly.
