Marauder “Agency Ops” first samples are blowing my mind

Can I just say what an awesome time it is to be a 1:18 scale action figure junkie?  I mean seriously.

I see G.I. Joe fans gnashing their teeth about no Joes at retail, but holy cow when I see stuff like this, suddenly it’s not so painful.

Marauder is over in China at the moment, and I gotta believe he pulled these samples straight from the factory, and I am SO glad he did.  I don’t know if I could be any more in love with four inch pieces of plastic than I am right now.  Just a simple dude in a t-shirt with elbow pads and a pistol is knocking me out.  I want these.  Like nowish.

Check out the Marauder “Gun Runners” Facebook Page, and take a peek at the mirrored images below, though fair warning – they may cause blood loss to your brain.  If you feel it for four hours or more, go see a doctor.

Full Force video review of RagingSpoon Complex Buildable Diorama Sets

Perhaps some of you remember that I got my hands on some early samples of the Complex Building Sets by RagingSpoon a month or two back.  In short – I LOVED them, and they are available now at SmallJoes.com.

Chris from The Full Force recently got some in his possession as well, and posted one of his usual entertaining looks at the form and function of these fantastic pieces.

Any fan of 1:18 figures, or Transformers, or really any toyline at all that needs cool display elements needs to look long and hard at Complex.  They are incredible and have some amazing things planned for the future.  Check out the video review below and be sure to snag your own set of Complex at SmallJoes.com!

Dark Source 1:18 scale military figures are rocking my world

One thing that has become crystal clear over the past few years is that adult 1:18 collectors need to look outside of retail channels for collectible action figures that appeal to our desires of enhanced articulation, accessories and detail.  Thankfully, there has been an influx of smaller companies producing kick ass toys in that scale that cover those bases.  It appears as if we have one more to add to that list.

Over on the Pocket In Action Club Facebook page they’ve shown off a bunch of images of a new line of 1:18 futuristic military figures that appear to be called Dark Source, appearing to be coming out of China.  I’ve been trying to get a good translation of the page, but at this point it almost looks like they’re being produced by WaBao Toys (though I could be totally misreading the phrasing on Facebook).

Long story short, these look amazing and I need to figure out how and where to buy them.

Animal Warriors of the Kingdom DELUXE action figure Kickstarter is live!

Spero Studios is cranking again! Shortly after delivering some awesome figures from their first Kickstarter, the folks at Spero are back at it, seeking funding for a new line of Deluxe Animal Warriors of the Kingdom figures. Many of the figures within this second Kickstarter are 5″ tall (though still scaled for 1:18, they’re just big boys!) and we’ve got some pretty amazing looking stuff going on here.

Personally, I’m really digging Belarus, the crazy cyborg bear, but there’s a ton of potential for other incredible stuff as well. As with the first Kickstarter, there’s a ton of great basic sized figures, too with some excellent new gear, new heads, and new creatures.

Lots to love here, especially if you dig human/animal hybrids like I do. I can see half the cast of my Operation: Harvest novels right here. Awesome stuff.

He’s sitting at around $32,000 right now, with a goal at 50K, but I think all of us would like to see some serious stretch goals made. Don’t sit on the fence, hit up the Kickstarter and put your money where your mouth is. He’s proven he can get this stuff produced, I’m itching to see more.

GeneralsJoes Reviews Bucky O’Hare Wave 2

Okay, before we get onto the reviews…  so far we’ve got three members of the Righteous Indignation crew… but no bad guys for them to fight.

That stops now!  Boss Fight Studio has just launched pre-orders for the new KOMPLEX Storm Toad figures, including single packs and two packs.  GO GET YOU SOME.

Then you can hop on back over to my Bucky O’Hare review page and check out reviews for the latest Bucky O’Hare figures:

As one might expect… they’re incredible.  Deadeye Duck especially feels like a new barometer set in toy engineering.  Wow.  More great stuff from the rock stars at Boss Fight Studio.
