As we churn closer to JoeCon and to the spring release date, the G.I. Joe Collectors Club has posted final sample images of the upcoming HAVOC MK II and also revealed the price – $42 + shipping!
That actually seems like a great price to me, as I’ve heard some folks hypothesize that it would be closer to $65. Hit up GIJoeClub.com to see the full details, and I’ve mirrored one of the images below.

So throughout the whirlwind of reveals at Toy Fair today, it’s been a bit tough to get everything sorted out and really figure out what these new items represent and what the original genesis or inspiration of these items was. Interestingly, a lot of these things come from fan-centric sources, including concept cases and short ship Pursuit of Cobra offerings.
The full low down is after the jump, with in depth descriptions of each 2 or 3 pack as well as the source figures and where the inspiration might have come from.
Hopefully this will shed a little bit of light on this particular situation:

Collectors have been pretty consistent with their praise for the ECO Force Flint and Ozone reveals from the upcoming 2014 Convention Set, and now the Collectors Club has finished off the ECO Force trifecta with none other than Clean Sweep!
They’re pulling an “Ozone” and only giving us a masked image at the moment, but I’ll be darned if that’s not looking pretty friggen sweet all on its own! He’s got a great new mask (and apparently a new dome underneath it) and I am loving his weapon allotment. Very interesting choices and they fit his MOS pretty nicely. The computer-integrated case is an awesome touch.

This has come as a surprise to me, but notpicard has reported in the G.I. Joe Discussion Group on Facebook that he stumbled across a G.I. Joe themed party cup in his local Wal-Mart party section. Using some classic themed art work (though the art itself is from the more recent 25th Anniversary) it’s a large plastic cup that proudly broadcasts your love for G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero.

Okay, I’ll admit it… I fell for it.
Based on the G.I. Joe Collectors Club Tweet from earlier today I thought we’d be seeing a Toxo Zombie today, but turns out instead of a full figure reveal, we just got a helmet removal.
Hop on over to GIJoeCon.com to witness some full blown Ozone beard power! It’s impressive.

Fans have been wondering exactly how the G.I. Joe Collectors Club was going to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of G.I. Joe with their 2014 Convention Exclusive Joe Colton.
As it turns out, it’s less of an homage to his 50 year birthday, and more a direct homage to his first appearance in the Marvel Comics way back when. As an unabashed Real American Hero and Marvel Comics fan, I have zero problems with this.
I can see some of the 12″ fans finding some issues with it, but I am digging it. I would imagine they had to retool the head to fit the neck ball a bit better, and they made some changes to the coat as well, by the looks of things.
As a reminder, this figure will be available with a display stand and photo backdrop in the 12″ Convention Set. The G.I. Joe Collectors Club has mentioned that he will be available separately as well, though not with the same display stand and backdrop. Check out GIJoeCon.com for the full details, and the image is mirrored below (along with the comic reference sent out by GIJoeCon on Twitter).
