Starting with the G.I. Joe Renegades: Tactics game launch today, and continuing on with the awesome above promotional video, it would seem as if The Hub has kicked things into gear now that we’re within 14 days of the premier of G.I. Joe: Renegades. Awesome.
The ad above can be found on YouTube (via The Hub) and also on The Hub’s Facebook page as well. LOVE this.
Information comes via the lovehubworld Twitter account that a brand new G.I. Joe: Renegades flash-based game is now online at Hubworld.com! Screenshots will be forthcoming, but for now, here is some information about the game: About This Game
Brought to you by Hasbro

• Click soldiers to move them on the map. Click again to pick a weapon.
• Rescue innocent victims! Survive enemy ambushes! Complete all 20 missions to knock out the enemy!
• Use terrain, vehicles, buildings, and special attacks to beat COBRA.
• Earn medals to upgrade your units, weapons, and combat abilities.
• Each completed mission brings you closer to finding COBRA’s secret Weapons of Mass Destruction — and the proof of your innocence!”
An apparent tactical strategy game, there are dossier screens (many of them “classified”) and a pretty neat looking strategic element to the overall gameplay. While I haven’t had a chance to fully dive into it yet, on the surface, it looks like a fun one, with some stuff to unlock. I’ll be trying it after work, that’s for sure! Or maybe even at work if I can get away with it. 😉

While a debut date is not yet known, Hasbro has announced a partnership with Corus Entertainment, which will broaden the viewership for upcoming Hub programming, including new series like Transformers: Prime and G.I. Joe: Renegades. Corus Entertainment is Canada’s leading family broadcast station, and this would appear to be the first step towards bringing new Hasbro based animation worldwide.
Check out the full press release after the jump, and thanks to The Terror Drome for the information. (more…)
A few days ago, I posted an updated lowdown of episode titles from G.I. Joe: Renegades, pulled from the MSN TV Listings. Well, those listings have been updated somewhat, but not with more titles, this time with just a bit more detail. Episode 3: The Package has been confirmed to include Major Bludd, with the following tagline:
“Major Bludd tracks down a target for assassination.”
Once again, the plot looks to take a somewhat dark turn, which is a welcome thing for this new generation of G.I. Joe…and Major Bludd is yet another reason why I’m really looking forward to the Renegades animation. As someone who loves the mythology behind the G.I. Joe universe, I’m really looking forward to how they rebuild this universe and how they reinvent some of these characters. Should be cool. Keep your eyes peeled to the GeneralsJoes G.I. Joe: Renegades SuperPage for all of the latest Renegades news and intel. Episode 3 airs for the first time Friday, December 3rd at 5:00pm.
Folks who have been visiting the site have seen a healthy number of G.I. Joe related video clips, and believe me, that will continue when G.I. Joe: Renegades emerges in late November. I will certainly be posting the video links on the site, but if you want to keep up to date with the latest G.I. Joe animation video, check out the GeneralsJoes YouTube Channel.
I’ve already got a playlist set up there for the entirety of G.I. Joe: Resolute, and will be setting up various playlists once Renegades kicks off as well. I’ve already got a couple of Renegades clips mirrored there:
Now that we have official confirmation of the G.I. Joe: Renegades debut date, IGN.com has also posted the first official footage of the series premier! Featuring Duke, Tunnel Rat, Roadblock, and Scarlett as they narrowly escape from the US Government. While a little low on action, it’s a great first look at Renegades, and a look at what we can expect for animation and final art style.
