The latest edition of the Sideshow Collectibles Newsletter has arrived in member’s mailboxes, and contained within is the news that Flint is next on the docket for Sideshow’s very capable sculpting and design department! The small sneak preview makes it immediately obvious that this is a very faithful translation of everyone’s favorite Warrant Officer, and this will be one figure that will be VERY tough for me to hold off on.
Check out the sneak preview image below (or you can check out the preview itself here), and expect more images to come shortly… pre-order will launch January 28th!
I can’t help but feel less than luke warm for these sideshow interpretations of RAH characters. Since they aren’t based on any particular look, they almost seem like cleverly made customs using existing 12″ custom fodder. I’m just shocked folks are eating up these things yet complain about 3″ $5.00 that are re-interpretations of RAH and folks avoid them like the plague.
sorry 12″ fans……this one looks worse than usual.
At last, another Joe to battle against the 1/2 dozen Cobras I have collected. They’re still outnumbered 2 to 1 but we’re getting there.
Looks good. Sideshow will get more of my money and Hasbro won’t.
I’m starting to think that Sideshow works next to an Angry Old Folks’ home, and ask residents to do modeling for them.
Meh.
Flint always was a tough ole’ cuss, who did things his own way, was a sourpuss, a noncformist with an A type personality, hey wanna stay alive, stick with me, think like I do or perish personality.
This captures the essence of Flint wholeheartedly.
Do people really prefer the young, street kid, Channing Tatum look to the leaders and distinct personalities of the Joe unit?
