I just don’t get you guys; according to the interview justin made to the hasbro designers, sigma 6 was cancelled, which, in my opinion, were one of the best ‘joe’ figures EVER, but it got cancelled because the “fans” wanted the original joes in their 3/3″4 size and designs, right? Hasbro replied, cancelling sigma 6 and giving us the 25 anniversary line, including as we were ALL aware ‘village people’ gung-ho, the bare-chested-monocle-wearing-bald head dr. mindbender and a looong etcetera; (don’t get me started on the ice-cream soldier) so, they are out again, with their “dated” looks, but you know what? they are great, for a guy like me, having the chance to finally get those 80’s characters in a modern-era articulation is a no-brainer, but the 25 anniversary are dying a slow death, thanks to you guys, the “fans” who prefer the “x-men movie suits” i hope you guys at least enjoy the movie, that was the reaper of the 25 anniversary line.
Neon Viper, I’m at a loss for who you are referring to in your rant to “you guys”. If it is towards Jusin and his review, I saw nothing in his reviews that indicated he’d prefer the movie line toys over the 25th line. If your comments were targeted at the average fan, I can’t speak for everyone but myself and many collectors I know were scarfing up the 25th line and would have continued if Hasbro had released more in 2009. I could be wrong, but I don’t think GI Joe collectors in general preferred the movie line toys over the 25th, it was Hasbro’s decision to stop the 25th line because they needed to capitalize on toys for the upcoming movie.
I’m as sad to see the 25th line go as you are. However, I don’t see how you can turn this into some sort of blame game against Justin or GI Joe fans.
why does night creeper have a wavy sword? i never understood that. arent swords usually straight?
Nothing about file cards? I expected to see a mention that not only did this “Ripcord” steal his code name from the Sky Patrol Altitude, but he stole his entire file card from Freefall.
As for the Night Creeper — I bet the reason for the short-sleeve arms was to justify the two different colors on the arms, like the original.
