Details are slim at the moment, but word out of Botcon is that the Transformers Collectors Club has announced a new Transformers/G.I. Joe Crossover set, including Cobra Commander in a black uniform, Dr. Biggles Jones, and NINJA FORCE EFFING SCARLETT. Ratbat and a G2 deco Megatron are also in the set!
Big news! Mirrored images from the slideshow can be seen below.
Big thanks to Pat Stewart for the quick images!
OK, I am ALL OVER Ninja Force Scarlett… but why the hell do they have to stick her in a huge set, and why on Earth are they forcing another black Cobra Commander on us? I know it will be slightly different from the 15 peg warmers of the past, but come on. I have no opinion on the other three figures, not into Transformers. Really wish NFS was in FSS5. Sigh.
Agreed. I also really dislike this era of the comics. I hated the “starring Ninja Force and starring Snake Eyes” tag line they added. It just made it feel hokey.
I have to agree with you here. That tag line was terrible, especially since the joe logo was shrunk down to about a quarter of the size in order to accommodate the giant letters in Snake Eyes’s name. That era of the comic was also my least favorite during the original run.
Based on the comic, I see the reason for the set’s inclusion. But still, the DG CC? C’mon…at least use the equally peg-warmed 50th CC with updated accessories.
Megatron as the weapon is a good addition, though.
Dayyuum. Shiite just got real.
Nice to see Fun Pub giving us a few more chances at figures and characters that we wouldn’t get at retail.
Masterpiece Ratbat nice. Ninja Force Scarlett, admittedly I don’t like Ninja Force, but I appreciate the effort and appeal for other collectors. The real treat is Dr Sydney Biggles-Jones. Never did I think we’d see in anything but a custom of her since she got so little time in the mythos.
I’m buying a set. May as well go out with a bang!
The cool thing about this is the box is going to be a homage to #139 done by the same cover artist except Cobra Commander will be holding a tiny Megatron hologram in his hand in the same pose.
It’s odd that Ratbat would be in this set.
So the set with two Soundwave BATs and a figure was 80, so this is gona be…what, 100? 150?
Whatever the price, I’m sure it’s going to be a great value!
For the Club. Not for people that buy it.
Ugh. The last thing I want to be reminded of is the worst era in the history of G.I. Joe comics, (I’m a comic guy – not a toy guy).
