So the IDW Solicitation list came out today, and some very surprising news was contained within. This is information that could be considered a spoiler for the Real American Hero title, so proceed at your own risk!
Still here?
Okay.
As you read through the list of IDW Solicited titles below, you’ll no doubt see Real American Hero #212 and see the book proudly proclaim “The Death of Snake Eyes, Part 1”.
Shocking? Or gimmick?
I think we all know by now that any comic character death can generally be taken with a grain of salt, and Hama himself has a history of killing characters, then finding ways to resurrect them. To his credit, though, he seems to be able to figure out credible ways to do it. Interesting to see that within the same issue it would appear Serpentor is confirmed as coming back from the dead successfully as well. Very curious dichotomy.
I don’t see Larry Hama as being someone interested in cheapening a story simply for shock value, so I know I’ll be paying very close attention to how this is handled, especially so shortly after my own Dio-Story handled the subject as well.
