Tomorrow marks the debut of the fourth “season” of an ongoing G.I. Joe title by IDW Publishing. Unlike what many folks out there are claiming, this is NOT a reboot, it’s simply a jump forward in time and continuation of the last ongoing G.I. Joe title. IDW numbers these series like television seasons, so if you think of this as the fourth season of an ongoing G.I. Joe television show, it falls into place a little better.
Check out the preview below.

Any information on the two convention covers?
I wasn’t (and still am not) a fan of Kurth’s art in the last volume. Something about the new uniform designs and general “anime” style of the art just didn’t work for me. But I’m not hating what I’m seeing in this preview. Not sure what happened between the last Kurth issue and now but the art seems to have improved in my eye. Maybe a new colorist or inker to help soften his sharp “anime” lines? Guess I’ll see for sure when I pick this issue up this weekend.
The Scarlett cover will be available at New York Comic Con. Go see Robert Atkins in Artist alley about it or the IDW booth. I believe the other is from AwesomeCon. Not sure where that one is held. Just read this issue…looking forward to how this progresses. Enjoying Traviss’ take on the Joe world
I really enjoyed the first issue. The first issue is meaty in dialog and intrigue. After listening to the Star Joes interview with Karen Traviss, and enjoying this first issue, I’m really excited to see where this series goes.
