Obviously not wanting the reveal of the G.I. Joe 50th Anniversary figures to steal all the thunder, the G.I. Joe Collectors Club has given us our first FSS 3.0 reveal!
Spearhead and Max in their original 1988 color scheme! This is a Photoshop mock up, so final colors may change, but it’s a good idea of what we’re looking to get when the next FSS kicks off.
Keep watching GIJoeClub.com for the latest news and updates on the Figure Subscription Service!
Good part usage. The real star is Max though!
Not the original color scheme. The original had an orange camo. This just looks like a Duke figure with a bobcat. At least make the browns in those angular patterns like some of the other figures from that year had like Repeater and Shockwave.
Also, that vest is ridiculous looking. Too short.
Nice. Spearhead’s one of those characters that I always really wanted to like, but I could never fully get over a few small details – in his case the orange camouflage and his weird let’s-add-a-second-magazine-well-and-a-bayonet-and-oh-maybe-a-supressor-or-grenade-thing-at-the-end rifle.
If the vest was also camo, I’d be sold. He just doesn’t look good with it on. And the orange/brown is too toned down, it should be either darker, or lighter.
Good thing there is such thing as fine print!
