Larry Hama and Mark Cheng’s Ghost Source Zero – Extra bang for your buck!

This update just in from Larry Hama and Mark Cheng, the brain children behind Ghost Source Zero… for the next THREE DAYS ONLY any contribution will be matched by an especially generous G.I. Joe fan out there.

That’s right, from now until Sunday, anyone who contributes is guaranteed to get their contribution doubled towards the ultimate goal of finishing this great independent feature (up to $5,000).  If you’ve been on the fence about contributing, time to hop off, as this could push even more funds towards this very reachable Kickstarter goal.

Check out the Kickstarter right here, and view the video below.  Let’s all get together and help make Larry Hama and Mark Cheng’s dream a reality!

G.I. Joe Collectors Club reveals full 12″ Boxed Set for 2014 JoeCon

…And it’s pretty flipping awesome.

For any fans who have been complaining about Hasbro leaving the 12″ fan in the dust when designing the 50th Anniversary product, you cannot accuse the Collectors’ Club of the same thing.  They’ve designed a really nice 50th Anniversary homage to the original Green Beret, and included a great Adventure Team figure in the set to boot.  Some really nice gear, and of course, that pesky 4″ Joe Colton in there stirring up trouble.

Check out all the details of the 12″ Convention Set right here, and I’ve mirrored an image below.  Now, fingers crossed we get a peek at Repulsor and DAWG today to help round off the Real American Hero set!

G.I. Joe Collectors Club showcases final HAVOC MK II sample and price

As we churn closer to JoeCon and to the spring release date, the G.I. Joe Collectors Club has posted final sample images of the upcoming HAVOC MK II and also revealed the price – $42 + shipping!

That actually seems like a great price to me, as I’ve heard some folks hypothesize that it would be closer to $65.  Hit up GIJoeClub.com to see the full details, and I’ve mirrored one of the images below.

Big Bad Toy Store Launches Pre-Orders for Acid Rain vehicles, figures

A little while ago I’d posted about a review over on HISSTank.com showcasing the impressive Acid Rain product line from Ori Toys.  Since then, good friend of the site Monte Williams has contributed to a review there as well, and these items just get more and more impressive with every picture and detail I see or read.

I spoke directly with Monte about the product, and he couldn’t say enough great things about the Acid Rain line, speaking very highly of its play value and, perhaps most importantly, its durability.  I’m quite excited to perhaps check out the line for myself.

Big Bad Toy Store has officially put up pre-orders for these products, so go hit them up!  Links can be seen below for various different products.

G.I. Joe Solicitations from IDW Publishing – May, 2014

We’re on the verge of some huge events in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #200, and with Paul Allor wrapping up his run on G.I. Joe, what’s up next for our American Heroes?

Turns out… not a whole heck of a lot.  🙁

May solicitations have hit from IDW Publishing, and we have one title on the list.  G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #202 throws us back into the RAH world, but as of this moment, there doesn’t appear to be a main IDW-verse G.I. Joe title on the list.  We knew that Paul Allor’s run would last for four issues (which should wrap in April) but there is currently no apparent heir to that G.I. Joe throne.

That doesn’t mean there isn’t a plan in place, but apparently that plan will not involve the month of May.

I’ve reached out to IDW to see if I can figure out what’s up, but until I get a response, check out the solicitations for May, 2014 after the jump.
