I’ve been thinking about how to structure and organize these reviews, and I decided that there really wasn’t enough detail to break the reviews of wave 1 down to individual figures. They were much better tackled as a whole. I’m sure folks will let me know if they’re not happy with that format.
Throughout the rest of this week I will endeavor to cover every G.I. Joe Kre-O set that’s been released so far! It might be too tall an order, but I’m going to give it my best shot as we roll towards the theatrical release of G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

Yo Kre-O!
These are very tempting. I have picked up and walked around with the Flint set twice now without purchasing. It might only be a matter of time.
Great opening Kre-o review! I went from “passing interest” to “fully invested” with the Joe Kre-Os as well. I’m really looking forward to wave 2, and hope that the line enjoys continued success– I want these little guys around for years to come! To any readers on the fence about these: pick up a few blind bags, and/or a small building set to start things off. I guarantee you won’t be sorry. Despite their diminutive size, they are a ton of fun, and oozing with personality.
pretty much same story here…..as a big fan of Lego, the Kre-O stuff left me cold…..until they did Joe. even still, wasnt planning on getting too much into it. uh-huh. started with three blinds…’pedo, alley viper and siegie. then they went on sale, BoGo50% and i bought sets to break and sell so i could keep the figures. then came the 20% off sale….bought more blinds. as of now i own about 15 figs and a few of the smaller vehicles. looking forward to wave two blinds.
wonder what TRU will be charging by then…seeing as theyve already raised blinds by .30cents. bastards.
You’ve nailed it: they’re just fun. I’m not a Lego collector at all, but my kid and I have bought most of the sets & figures so far. I don’t think they’re very “collectible”, what with the blind bags & lack of card art, but if you open them, you’ll enjoy them.
So much potential with this line, I really hope Hasbro seizes it.
