Yesterday I covered the first figure in the most recent shipment of the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club Figure Subscription Service. Today, I’m reviewing the second one. Combined these two figures have been far and away the best two figures released in the FSS thus far, and reviewing them both was a blast.
Great figures, great packaging, great accessories. Lots to love here, and I’m really excited that the Collectors’ Club invested the time and money to bring these to us, and I really can’t wait to see and hear more about FSS Series two! I’m trying to avoid spoilers here for folks who still don’t want to know, so just click the link below to get to the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club Review Page:
If I had this figure, I’d trade it for Topside (or just his head); not many Joe nerds who can say that!
Great photos this time, Justin. Very fun!
This is clearly the grand success of the FSS. Let’s hope the mysterious 13th figure is this good!
I vividly remember seeing Big Boa for the first time on the card back of an ’86 figure just prior to the ’87 figures hitting retail, and spending the rest of the afternoon ripping on him with my friends. Over time, he became one of my favorite Cobra characters, serving as sort of the gunny/first sergeant of the Cobra enlisted in my ‘Joe verse. I really couldn’t afford the to subscribe to the FSS, and this is one of the figures that makes the decision not to hurt.
