Who cares about The Avengers?!? G.I. Joe: Renegades the Complete First Season is hitting store shelves from Shout! Factory TODAY.
All 26 episodes of this landmark G.I. Joe animated series complete and in high definition…and it looks glorious. With big thanks from Shout! Factory for providing a review sample, so I had a chance to dissect this thing before release, and now I’ve posted my review right here.

hi justin, do you know if it contains spanish subtitles?
GI Joe Renegades was awesome and is sorely missed. I enjoyed every week when it came out. Not much more to say beyond that! I have the blu-ray pre-ordered and any GI Joe fan or fan of good storytelling should pick it up too.
G.I. Joe is suppose to be about the U.S. armed forces like the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine that became a Special Counter-Terrorist Unit Delta team that fights Cobra around the globe. Not a small group of door-to-door problem solvers on the run. There are so many things they got wrong, where do I begin?
1. They ruined one character after the other with there nonsense. They look and act like teenagers, that wasn’t Hawk or Firefly and Ripcord is white and doesn’t have liquid superpowers
2. A-Team plot… oh god…
3. Idiotic plots with lame jokes, arguments and one-liners
4. The fact that in the last episode, Duke from the Sunbow series recounts his terrible dream where everyone was drawn horribly… even The Hub hated the show
There’s more… but that’s enough for right now
I thought the exact same thing as you Other until I watched it. Sounds like you did sense you mentioned the last episode and each person can have their own taste. What seems saddest is that at the last episode it was set up to be a Military origination as G.I.joe fighting a then outed Cobra. It was an odd choice for a new beginning, and i too wanted an older more mature Duke, a white Ripcord etc, but I find myself really enjoying their take on Destro, Major Bludd, baroness, and Scrap Iron. I felt it had it’s pros and cons and if they went in the direction it hinted out, could have been down right excellent.
