G.I. Joe fans seemed to really latch onto the first wave of G.I. Joe: Retaliation 3 Packs which offered many familiar characters but with some great additional accessories that really added some value to the figures. From the looks of it, Wave two is going to be even better, giving us brand new characters with some awesome previously unreleased accessories.
One of my favorite looking figures from the early pictures we’ve seen was Agent Mouse.
I managed to get my hands on the figure, and have reviewed it in my G.I. Joe: Retaliation section, or you can check out the direct link below.
Pretty sure those arms are new. Definitely not Kwinn or Footloose
Agreed. The upper arms are the Joe trooper for sure, I think the lower arms are new.
I’m fairly certain those lower arms are from the planned, but still unreleased, 30th Anniversary Flint and Hit&Run figures (who also see tooling used on the upcoming 3-pack Firefly).
Very interesting. Did you get your hands on the three-pack prototypes (judging by the comments about the “tray”), or just Mouse?
Also – I think that weird silver thing has to do with Airborne’s grappling system. It was pictured next to him at JoeCon (16/26 on your coverage of the three-pack)
And also from that same picture spread – can Mouse stow the rifles on the back of his vest?
Hmmm…I’ll have to check that out.
I got this figure and Sgt. Airborne both, but they were loose w/ accessories. In that same 3-pack image there is a boxed image, and in the box the silver thing (and harness) are packaged with Agent Mouse, they’re just displayed next to Sgt. Airborne in the loose image. Tough to figure out!
The review is an oasis in the desert. Can’t wait to see Airborne. If I buy that 3 pack, it will solely be due to him. I already know I’m buying the Cobra pack solely due to Firefly. Kind of dampens the excitement when you have no use for 2/3 figures in a pack, but what can you do?
The helmet has to be the one that got cut from 30th Lifeline. (like Airborne’s masked face was the alt head for Law & Order)
This figure looks great, thinks for the review. Whatever those arms originally were planned to go with, they look like a good start for a redo on a classic duke. I am still disappointed by the fatness of the hands because of the extra joint, but at the same time I love the added possibility. Shame the vest won’t come off easily, as it looks like the vest itself could be useful for customs.
