As today progressed, and the official Twitter page for The Hub announced that several of their programs would be available online at HubWorld.com, I began wondering if original fare like G.I. Joe: Renegades would get the same treatment.
Well, apparently not content to just wonder, the guys at Toy News International actually went to Hasbro and asked ’em. The answer is a resounding “YES”. The actual text of the response is below:
““The Hub will begin streaming episodes of G.I. Joe: Renegades on www.hubworld.com following the show’s debut this fall. Check www.hubworld.com for more details in the coming weeks.”
Excellent. A big thanks to the Toy News International guys for going straight to the source.
thats actually great news. considering im the only person on the planet without a DVR…and also considering i miss 98% of the shows i want to watch when they broadcast…having them online is a fantastic alternative.
Excellent! For the price I would have had to pay Dish Network to get the Hub, I could have easily bought the inevitable season DVDs for both Renegades and Transformers: Prime. Now I can see the shows close to first run, and still be able to afford those season sets!
I’ve been scouring around to see if there is any news if Canada will pick up the show (or the channel for that matter). I know that for content sites like hulu etc., the block non-US IPs. Hopefully this won’t be the same or Hasbro will be proactive and release the dvds shortly after the first run of the season.
If anyone has any Canada info, please pass on – t’would be much appreciated.
That’s awesome news. Thanks for the update. Can’t wait for the series to start.
Agreed, that is great news. I think more cable shows need to do this.
Toradoch, you should hit up the Hub video page and see if you can view any full episodes of what they’ve posted so far. That should tell you if these will be viewable when posted.
Well this means I can give it a chance and probably a lot more people to.
Anyone want to bet that online will have more viewers than broadcast?
It’s very cool that people who can’t get the channel will still get to see the show.
788 – not only do I not have a DVR, I don’t have cable or satellite or anything else like that. 🙂 It’s broadcast channels only for me, so this is good news.
yeah…well…..i have to hit the #1 key on my phone five times to get a “?”.
seriously though…dont know your situation, but personally i think youre probably better off…
if i were single, i wouldnt even have a television.
itd be dvds and online viewing for me. i dont even know how much i pay for all that directTV bullshit…and i dont want to know. (my wife just pays it–she LOVES it)
500 channels….a bunch in spanish, a bunch trying to sell me shit 24hrs, a bunch that i cant even view (apparently i could be paying more), and a bunch that seem to always involve the words “busty, “anal” “honeys” or “babes” in any combination.
F all that noise.
