Well, don’t get too excited…there doesn’t appear to be anything new on the way, but with thanks to this thread from YoJoe, it would appear that India toy distributor Funskool is once again producing o-ring style G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero figures for distribution. This eBay auction is for a Quick Kick, and the back of the card (with a date stamp of May, 09) can be seen below.
Pretty cool news. Even if nothing new is coming out, it’s always good to see some o-ring stuff making it’s way to retail again, even with the sketchy Funskool quality.
I hope this means people like me, who missed out on the first run of Funskool figures can get them cheap again. I also would hope for more than just what’s on that card, but I could live with it for now.
So would this be where the O-ring tooling that Hasbro wanted to get rid of might be going? I don’t think they’d sell them outright but if Funskool is making figures again perhaps all that history won’t be going into the dumpster after all.
Cool! Might be neat to get ahold of some oldies that I just want to mess around with. Hate having to spend big bucks on old figures when I just want to play with ’em.
Hopefully the release the Street Hawk one again…I couldn’t believe the prices had gone through the roof on those when they couldn’t get rid of them fast enough when they first came out.

I happen to own a Street Hawk from 1992, Funskool India. There is no packaging unfortunately but it is in great condition, including the bike and helmet. Could part with it for a good price. Email me if interested.
Hi Jo –
You still looking to sell that Street Hawk?
Hopefully they do fix the quality of plastic a bit. Funskool figure joints could be a little better. But I’m not complaining, after all, better late than sorry. I dunno if you guys checked this, but some time ago Funskool was about to release the Manimals, including unreleased figures (protos). It would be nice to see them on stores with oldies.
Personnaly I’d like to find Street Hawk, the red vamp and super cop, but I don’t think they’ll come up with such changes. I guess Hasbro will have a tight policy on international releases with other projects as 25 th, the movie and Resolute.
