First of all, I want to repeat and reiterate my thanks and humble acknowledgement for everyone who has felt like it was worth their time and money to kick in some cash to assist with the camera purchase.  No matter how much you sent, I owe you one.  Do not forget it, and when you need something, feel free to bring it up and guilt me into it.  :shifty:

In all seriousness, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the “kindness of strangers” in this regard, and I have been very lucky.

Thanks to a comment on the post about my camera troubles by “lobo” I did some more digging on the Fujifilm model of camera that I wanted and I was able to find one locally for quite a bit cheaper than online.  What this means, is that I’ve adjusted the goal accordingly to reflect the lower price.  However, the camera is on sale, and only through this weekend.

So if you are so inclined, we’re VERY close to the goal and pretty much ready to roll…it won’t take much more to get there.  But to help, I’m also putting up a couple of eBay auctions starting tomorrow night.  I’ll put links up to the forum when they’re listed, and I’ll be listing them at pretty reasonable Buy it Now’s.

Anyway…just wanted to let folks know what the status was, give everyone my full appreciation and let folks know that this purchase will be worth it in the long run, as hopefully the pictures will only be bigger and better.
