- Torch was one of several reveals throughout a streaming event via Hasbro Pulse on February 29th, 2023
- Lenny devoted a lot of attention to the various flame effects for Torch, including some nice sculped detail on a “skull” design element on the flamethrower
- The package features artwork by Scott Johnson, a long time industry artist who also did the majority of the artwork on the GIJoe.Com website.
- Lemmy from Metalhead was an inspiration mentioned when it came to designing Torch
- Torch features another new box style which, according to Hasbro, provides a better unboxing experience with the windows showcasing the figure. The artwork is on the sides, but no longer on the front of the package
- Unlike Buzzer and Ripper, Torch includes his trademark backpack
