- COBRA Commander (Retro) was first revealed at the fan stream for YoJoe June on June 4, 2024. It was available for pre-order a week later.
- The retro figures and the 60th Anniversary figures are, to date, the only Classified figures that come with a stand
- This is the second version of a retro themed COBRA Commander. The first was a “Mickey Mouse” logo version of the character that came with the HasLab COBRA HISS
- Along with the more familiar COBRA logo, this version of retro COBRA Commander appears to come with a chrome-plated face mask and the trademark line along the curve of his helmet. There is white trim in certain places as well, where black trim was present on the previous version and he comes with longer gloves to mirror his look in the animated series.
- The card art for this version of the retro COBRA Commander is considerably different than the version we got with the HISS Tank release.
- By and large, this COBRA Commander appears to be an upgrade to the previous retro version, though the previous release came with a globe encircled by a snake accessory that this version doesn’t appear to include. Weirdly, this figure does come with the globe-holding hand even though the globe isn’t included.
