- Although he’s a central character and one of the most popular, Storm Shadow didn’t make an appearance in his most familiar garb until seven waves into the line, two years after it began
- An initial design for Storm Shadow was used on GIJoe.com during launch, but again Hasbro seemed to steer more toward vintage accuracy with the final product. It remains unclear if we’ll ever see an action figure version of that initial artwork on the website.
- Storm Shadow was released alongside Spirit Iron-Knife, a possible throwback to their rivalry in the Sunbow animated series
