- While Destro followed a similar design philosophy as the G.I. Joe members in the initial Classified release, his overall look and feel was much more highly regarded. There were strong vintage elements within his design and the more technical elements were seen as appropriate for the COBRA Weapons Designer
- Although Destro was revealed at Toy Fair alongside the other figures, he wasn’t available for pre-order until approximately a month later
