Notes:
- The G.I. Joe VAMP w/ Clutch was revealed for pre-order during Hasbro’s 1027 Streaming Event, typically reserved for Hasbro Pulse Premium members, though made available for the public at large later
- The 2023 edition of the 1027 streaming event was erroneously released early, so many of the leaks and news ended up online before the actual show was launched that afternoon
- The VAMP with Clutch is a Pulse exclusive, launching at a $99 price point to reflect the larger size of the vehicle.
- According to Lenny, the VAMP was designed to be modular in nature so going forward, pieces can be swapped out and changed to “upgrade” the vehicle or retool into new variations. It would seem to be a no-brainer that we’re destined to see models like the Stinger or the VAMP Mark II in the future
- The VAMP has an opening hood which reveals the engine beneath, an actual transparent windscreen and its front seats can fit figures of all shapes. During the unboxing video, Lenny mentioned the only figure that might have a hard time fitting in the driver’s seat is Serpentor, who is the largest figure in the line
- Upgrades to the vintage aesthetic include sets of lights on the front roll cage and near the front grille, poseable rear view mirrors, the windscreen and several components that were sculpted to the vehicle are now removable
- Clutch was designed to be a “rockabilly” sort with some greased back hair and tattoos designed to reference that part of the characters backstory. Clutch also comes with a removable Steel Brigade helmet to add to the troop building capabilities. The helmet should fit most other figures in the line, according to Hasbro designers
- Easter Eggs on the box include a first look at the COBRA Ferret vehicle (which has been confirmed for release by Hasbro) as well as what appears to be a female driver based on the COBRA Valkyrie tooling. The driver also bears some resemblance to a pre-production drawing of the COBRA Ferret with a unique, helmeted driver
