We’ve seen enough of these images to really know what we’re getting with these sets, but the fact that we now have official pictures to show probably means these are on the verge of release. And as usual, these two vehicles add a sense of conflict… I love the Elite-Viper, but would have loved something NEW with the Elite-Viper…however, the Cobra vehicle is far superior to the G.I. Joe one. On the flip side, though, this strange amalgamation of Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes and the Commando Snake Eyes from Rise of Cobra at least offers some new elements, even if the end result is a bulkier version of the same figure. Bulk is exactly what that figure needed, though, so maybe this is a good thing?

Normally I might not cover this, but I’m pretty sure I won’t end up owning this set, so I figured it’s only right to give it some due publicity by showcasing Alexx’s latest photographic onslaught, this time focusing on the Wal-Mart Exclusive Ninja Battles set. Chock full of gear with some… “interesting” paint application choices, Alexx breaks down exactly what’s in the box and whether it’s worth your time.
The review itself is right here, but check out the images below.

We’ve seen some scattered images for the upcoming “Rip Attack” vehicles, but HissTank has now provided the most in depth images yet, giving us clear images of the two drivers, the vehicles and the mechanism used to launch them. Coolest thing to me is this version of Snake Eyes…I hadn’t noticed in earlier images, but this looks to be a combination of the Paris Pursuit head and legs with the version 1 body and arms. It actually works really well, I think, making Snake Eyes really resemble his movie self, yet being a bit bulkier and more imposing than the overly scrawny first version. I dig it.
Unfortunately “Street-Viper” just looks like the regular Elite-Viper, no new paint scheme or anything, which is kind of a shame, but his vehicle actually looks pretty neat. Check out the mirrored images below.

Hot on the heels of the Toys “R” Us Attack on the Pit review comes the follow up review for the Target exclusive Rescue Mission 4-Pack. While it doesn’t have as many figures, or quite as much value, I think the set itself has a whole lot more “cool factor” than the TRU one.

Thanks to the guys at HissTank who have found a nice box shot of the two “Rip Attack” vehicles first revealed at JoeCon. The vehicles are the Jetstorm Cycle w/ Snake Eyes and the Tiger Snake w/ Street-Viper. As I reported earlier this month, we also got a very good look at the art shown here in the last issue of the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club newsletter.
The figures appear to be Snake Eyes v.1 from the Rise of Cobra line, and a fairly straight-forward Elite-Viper renamed as the Street-Viper. It’s tough to tell in these pictures, but the larger images in the newsletter show the Street-Viper to be an almost black repaint base figure with a nice silver armor. I actually think the Tiger Snake looks pretty sweet, even with the wacky zipcord action. Check out the image mirrored below.
