Spy Troops Wave 4 (Wave 7.75) - B.A.T.
Well, I guess I can’t complain about this figure too much, since it seems Hasbro is giving people another chance at army building B.A.T.S., but it appears to me, at least initially, that they didn’t change a single thing here. Same mold, same accessories, same paint scheme. Luckily they did it on a trooper, so people will not mind quite so much, but still, it would have been nice to see a little variation.
Since there is no variation, you might as well check my previous review for what I think of this new B.A.T. (which is a cool figure in it’s own right…).
EDIT: Just wanted to give a big thanks to Batdan of the JoeCustoms board (and good buddy that I met in San Francisco last year...) who nicely pointed out to me that there are a couple differences between the two B.A.T. models.
First of all, the Wave 7.75 version has a red "chest plug" beneath the chest plate, while the Wave 7 version has a yellow one. Also, the Wave 7.75 version has a kickin' COBRA logo on his right thigh, while the Wave 7 B.A.T. is without it. Check the picture below for the comparison.
Thanks, Batdan!
A comparison between the Wave 7 and Wave 7.75 B.A.T. Good thing he's an army builder, cause they didn't change a stinkin' thing!
One cool thing about me now having two of these guys is that I can customize my Heavy Weapons B.A.T. Since the arms are reversible, it's very easy to swap arms and make a dual cannon B.A.T. Pretty cool, I think!
