G.I. Joe vs. Cobra - Dusty

Well, I gotta be honest here, and say, despite the cool web gear, and the fairly neat rocket launcher, this Dusty really does not do much for me.

Even when he came out in Wave 2, he wasn't one of my favorites. His legs seemed awkwardly placed, and his whole body in general just looks...uncomfortable. He doesn't seem able to stand at a normal pose, and cannot really hold his weapons well. His backpack is pretty cool, but once you put it on him, he can no longer stand upright...overall, it seems to me that Dusty may have been Hasbro's "guinea pig" as it were and has some faults in regard to the O-Ring construction.

The mold itself is pretty forgettable, with a plain jacket and pants and some strategically placed wrappings...the way Hasbro did the bottom of the jacket is interesting, but makes it tough to use the figure without removing it. The new colors are pretty interesting at least...instead of the basic tans and browns, he has a deep, dark green and some more darker hues, but it still doesn't do it for me.

But honestly, it doesn't bother me that much...Dusty as a character never did a whole lot for me, and considering the area that I live, I have little need for Desert Troopers. Still, he is now dressed more for the jungle, but I still prefer the Night Rhino version to this one, and will most likely continue to use that.

Not to knock the figure too much, I'm not sure what the reasoning is, but this is just a figure to miss, in my opinion...
