As I mentioned in an other review, the C.O.P.S. toyline seems somewhat devided with the vehicles between the larger and smaller items. The larger cars (and helicopter) seem to be designed with inginuity and cleverness, combining nice play features a great unique design, and some nice flair. The smaller vehicles might lack some of the inspiration and the solidness of the larger ones, but they are still pretty neat in their own right. The Jailbird is essentially a very simple vehicle, but it is still a pretty neat one.

It's a very small little jetcraft, as the "Air Speeder" designation would indicate, and only a one-seater. It's basically a seat, some engines and a weapons system, but it doesn't really need anything else. Really, the first design theme you see is that very cool rounded front, with the slotted front plate that really looks cool and works well for a single-person aircraft. It has a pair of somewhat stubby wings, but still effective, each one mounted with it's own purpose. There's a small radar dish on the left wing, and the cap-firing mechanism is built into a nicely sculpted weapons system on the right. The body of the Jailbird is crammed with little details, and even though the vehicle itself is pretty thin, there is an aura of substance to it, which does make a difference.

The two handlebars are sculpted nicely and easily holdable, and the rear engine section looks a little small, but ultimately effective. Twin kickstands on the bottom serve as a pseudo landing gear, and all in all it's not a bad little single-person aircraft.

The colors are pretty effective, too, using silver and a dull red in the different componants to different effect. It ends up working pretty well, even though the colors are somewhat unrealistic.

All in all, while it's not nearly on par with things like the Air Raid and the Ironsides, it is a neat little single person jet, and tends to be pretty inexpensive as well. It's worth checking out, especially for the low prices it generally gets on eBay.
