If there was ever an iconic character in the C.O.P.S. mythos, Longarm would be it. So obviously dressed in traditional police attire, he quickly became the image of the toyline and a major focus in the cartoon and comic book. He was one of the few characters to really get fleshed out in either medium, and he seemed to become the default field leader, which is a little strange, since his "rank" so to speak is merely that of a "Patrol Officer". Hanging around Sergeants like Mace and Sundown, you'd think he would bow to their leadership, but he quickly became the "Duke" of the C.O.P.S. world. While not technically outranking folks, he still had the capacity to boss people around and direct operations, and ended up pretty good at it, too.

Longarm as a toy is a decent one, although I must admit nothing special. Even as a kid he was not one of my favorites. He's your basic uniformed police officer with no real overt futuristic designs or unusual appearences, but as he's meant to somewhat represent your every day police officer, I guess the look fits. He's even somewhat outdated by today's standard, to say nothing about this "Future Time" the C.O.P.S. are fighting in.

He is large and muscular, and has the classic blonde haired blue eyed look that all leaders of the day seemed to have, but just like Duke he seems somewhat "too good" and bland. He was made a little interesting in the comics, but even as a kid, I took Highway over him any day of the week.

The paint apps are fine and "real world" although nothing outragerously special. The typical blue and white uniform looks fine and fits his mold...it's just not real exciting. His accessories are pretty cool and he has a number of them. His power-cuff is definitely his most classic weapon, attached to a string to snag Crooks on the run. The toy version was never quite as cool as it appeared in the cartoon or comic, but it's still somewhat neat. The police cap is cool and his nightstick works as well. His main machine gun leaves a little to be desired. The weapon itself looks pretty neat, but it's a little snubby and tough for him to hold realistically...I kind of wish he had come with a more "traditional" pistol like Highway, Bowser, or Heavyweight in the later runs.

Not a bad figure, and pretty much any C.O.P.S. fan out there will want one simply for iconic reasons...but I can think of a large number of figures out there that I definitely like better.
